Awful.
I can understand Meite for Salech and Davies for Alves as that's as close as we have to like for like but not in the order Riza made the subs.

Is the ref playing until they score?

Re: PLYMOUTH ARGYLE v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
All things considered that’s a decent point considering what we ended up being up against

Exactly , and in the end it was better than zero points.
Funny thing was this board was very quiet when we were playing well and making them look awful.
Tells you something?

How long you been watching football? Of course it’s not 3 games. Was it violent contact? NO!

I agree with you Jimmy . Why do some posters only post negative things and never seem to enjoy any passage of our play ?? It is weird .If it is so bad continually support a top Premier side.

Bit harsh, that response?

Re: PLYMOUTH ARGYLE v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
That’s a great point. I don’t fancy us to
get anything away against the bottom teams and luckily that’s the last one we play away. Plymouth are poor but they are only marginally worse than us. We are reliant on teams having an off day for us to get points and fortunately Plymouth did today. The red card cost us the win.

Just more to talk about when things are going awry.
For the red card, thought their player stepped across Goutas and he couldn't get out of the way. Looked for the foul.
Kept the distance between us and them and Derby lost too. I'm not sure how they stuffed teams recently. Hopefully not being able to beat a ten man team with a one legged goalie will haunt their form (and dreams).

Re: PLYMOUTH ARGYLE v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Should have won it before the red card.
Could easily have lost it after the red card.
But credit for protecting the point.
Tuesday night's line up will be interesting. Billy The Fish - your time has come!

Re: PLYMOUTH ARGYLE v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
On the other hand, Millwall got a winner at Derby - who had missed a penalty - in the 95th minute:thumbup:
It's why we watch...

Re: PLYMOUTH ARGYLE v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
A point looks decent value considering the 2nd half display, sending off etc. But when we're in the ascendancy then we have to make teams pay, we don't, then there's a problem...... A lack of quality on the ball did it for me really, against an outfit who had little. It's the small things that can get us a result against teams in this division, a little bit more composure, quality in possession etc. We defended poorly for the goal, defence were to deep, no challenge on the player who headed the ball across, because we were so deep, and poor reaction in blocking the goalscorer. The point will do, but i can't really call a really good performance by any player.

Oh I am so sorry for being ignorant . Is this board for just football experts ?? If so I will remove myself .
If my post annoyed you why not just ignore it ?? You must be sooo perfect Mr Ninian

I think we should have been in a better position before the red, and there's nothing wrong in thinking that.

Goutas got himself in an awful position, wrong side of the player, he knew.....

We’ll be playing with a back one I reckon.

I agree. Our front four were causing Plymouth major problems - skill, power and pace up against agricultural lumps. But we didn't have the composure or sometimes vision to turn one goal into three. After the red card it was different qualities in play (although maybe we were too conservative when counter attacking chances came up?), and protecting the point was well done.

My sincere apologies. I thought you were taking the Michael. I honestly can’t believe that people don’t know the difference between a 1 game and 3 game ban.

A bit of quality Jon in the right areas. Players need to show it, especially when we work an opening or half a chance. I think that some people want the perfect moment, like the Salech goal against Bristol City, they're few and far between. We need to force opportunities and goals.
