Ng has been very good at CB to be fair

Hull tore us to bits and we were v lucky they couldn't finish

Re: CARDIFF CITY v HULL CITY. Match thread
Massive result... bit by any means necessary, but we'll take it

Agreed. I think that’s the best Fish had played for us. They stepped up tonight. It wasn’t pretty but I think we were good for the win.

They had one shot on target. They dominated possession and played some dangerous balls into the box but other than that were toothless but hopefully they win their next game home to Plymouth

Some decent last gasp defensive scrambles but why resort to that type of football for the lion share of the second half.
A better opponent in the final third would have easily taken all 3 points.
Makes me ask the question, where was the game management?
Game management wasn't great. Some of the subs made us poorer and invited them on

If they could finish it would’ve been 1-1. Thankfully their only attempt on target was straight at the keeper.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v HULL CITY. Match thread
Happy with that. We aren’t going to suddenly start blowing teams away. If we do stay up it’ll be down to horrible, scrappy, error strewn, narrow wins just like tonight.

Not even close, although they pissed through our midfield for 35 minutes of the 2nd half, won nearly all of the 2nd balls and stretched us. Thankfully they had no quality in the final third. A win is a win, and i'll take it all day, but that was two poor outfits out there. Onwards and.........

We had 8 shots 4 on target to their 4 shots 1 on target, do you think their fans are saying if Cardiff could finish that would be been a whooping?

Re: CARDIFF CITY v HULL CITY. Match thread
Good and important result.
I thought Fish played very well as did NG.
Tough watch, but a welcome 3 points.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v HULL CITY. Match thread
I don’t care how the win came. We desperately needed that. Gives us some breathing space.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v HULL CITY. Match thread
Also stoke lost so we jump above them too.

You like going on about Rino, and fair enough, he is error prone, but whenever anyone picks up on a player you like, you're on them..... :hehe:

Re: FT: CARDIFF CITY 1 - 0 HULL CITY. Match thread
A bit of context too in an inevitably very nervous match.
We had a back line of a central midfielder as right back. a right back as a centre back, a left winger as left back and (hellelujah) a centre back as centre back. Together with a goalkeeper who has barely played for over 5 months. 'Patched up' is an understatement.
Not pretty. Loads to criticise. But a win - against the odds, the form guide and the pundits. It will do for now!

15 points off the playoffs now
