Gutted not to have tanner and Alves as options at the moment, not saying they are the answer but they offer genuine pace in behind teams that nobody else offers currently.
A few players on both sides fell over unexpectedly in the first half, hard to think what the problem with the pitch was if there was one.

Definitely should have put Isaac Davies on for El Ghazi.

You're right. Attack! Attack Attack! Play to our strengths for the rest of the season. We can't defend, so we might as well attack from the kick off and try and get a couple of goals in front for once. We know we are going to concede at least one, so we might as well go for it. We have the players in midfield and up front for this now.

There were a few who fell over last week in the Hull game. Wrong studs possibly.

Ashford was half a pace of it last night . I would have subbed him earlier.
Salech was immense , first time I have noticed his off the ball stuff , is he always that good?
Burnley had some real quality on their left hand side , we had to defend quite deep first half.
Fish looks quality , a few positives from last night . We lost , they are 3rd for a reason . Luton is a massive game on Tuesday.

El Ghazi did OK. But we lacked any pace when he came on. He should have brought Isaac on in my opinion.
Re: FT: CARDIFF CITY 1 - 2 BURNLEY. Match thread
Rino struggled, we would have been better starting with Fish and Goutas and NG on the right. O'Dowda was good, Salech was very good, a few inches off a hat trick against the best defensive team in the League.

Like i said, i'm a bit disappointed, we should have really turned the screw, and we shouldn't have been in the position of being 2-0 down at home.
They time wasted about 25 minutes of the second half, they really were on the ropes, eleven at the back playing a triple low block.

Not many we missed a sitter, and hit the post and cross bar, fine margins.

Just watched the highlights. That Goutas challenge should have been a penalty. We were very lucky there.

I haven't seen anything of the game, apart from 2 minutes of highlights. Is it possible for a team to time waste 25 minutes of a half?

One Burnley player being substituted, took 45 minutes to walk off :hehe:

Yup, and they didn't look comfortable, although let's not kid ourselves, they were winning and they were comfortable, so they put it over to us to break them down, allowed us a bit more possession, we went more attack mode ( We had no choice) and I don't believe that if we had started with the team that finished the game, that we would have got anything out of it. We wouldn't have started playing in a way that we do when we're chasing a game.

I absolutely love Salech - think I might have a bit of a man crush.
On the defensive side - I have noticed a lot of our goals come from players being totally unmarked and find acres of space. Not that I'm a master tactician but what about a bit of old school Warnock man marking to sort it out
