His pretentious, waffling and repetitive podcasts are a cure for insomnia.
Just my opinion and all that :hehe:
It's the way he explains to us dullards that a good season at championship level for Lawlor would increase his value-No shit......!
The comment that got me though was that we could sell a striker, because goals are easy to replace. **** me, goals are the hardest thing to replace, and making that comparison with a central defender, no matter how good he is at his age is just bollocks.

Well, according to Si, There's interest from the premier league, the championship, and teams in Europe. He's basically betting on every horse in the race to win. Honestly, is there any awareness.

Can't believe he's overlooked the interest from Mars

Few of his videos have been alright. Trouble is there are a few similar popping up now and he tries to do almost daily City videos when there is absolutely nothing happening.
Reckon a good quality twice weekly during the season is more than enough. Less is more.
Was actually impressed with the standard of some of the ones in league 1. Some very well put together.

Less is definitely more. It's up to people to do what they want (obviously) But the way he comes across is if he's so kind of authority of the basics of football, and he then goes at length to explain it to people. Lawlor would be worth more money with a good season under the championship under his belt........ It's like watching Play school, Although he's no Derek Griffiths!
I checked myself before being critical, but then i thought that if a person is going to put out stuff like this publicly, then they're open to criticism. He says that it's easy to replace a midfield player, a winger, and it's easy to replace goals. I'll let him off the first two, but easy to replace goals? Not in this universe it isn't, it's the hardest thing to do in football, that's why goalscorers cost so much money.
The easiest thing to do is to replace a defender, always has been. That's not to take away from Lawlor or his undoubted ability, his potential and grace he possesses in possession. I hope that he continues with his videos because they're hysterical.

Absolutely. Just take a look at our track record of signing strikers - we've had players get into double figures in only 7 of
the last 15 seasons and even then it wasn't always a centre forward. Only once has one of our players got to 20 goals. Our signings in the pursuit of goals have included Ugbo, Meite, Diedhiou, Etete, Vassell, Watters, Bogle, Niasse, Gounongbe, Madine, Lambert, Saadi, Le Fondre, Maynard, Velikonja, Berget, Parkin, Cornelius and Odemwingie. Hopefully our scouting and recruitment team is better now, but goals are certainly not easy to replace.

Well he was called ankles so maybe over in Spain.
Great nickname that was, whoever came up with it.
To be fair I actually used to enjoy Carl's updates, there was often a board update about the update too. Good to keep people engaged.
I knew most of it was bullshit but it was entertaining.

If you look at the number of good strikers we've had compared to good midfielders, defenders and keepers, it says it all

I know, in fairness though, we had Warnock for a considerable period of time, and he couldn't pick a striker if he won first prize in a raffle, and the first prize was Erling Haaland :hehe:
