Re: The Transfer Window Rumours thread
Never understood why Villa sold him so cheaply, always seemed like a bargain at 4m for Hull. They could have just loaned him and took the fee this summer.

Hull are going to need a serious rebuild after departures like Philogene and maybe also Seri, Greaves and Giles, plus the loss of last season's loanees. They also released a fair few of their squad.

Has he gone from 4m to 16m in one season?

Oh well. Everton will do. I think they can make money off this.

Think Giles has signed permanently for Hull, but it’s being reported that Middlesbrough are trying to sign him from them!

Shouldn't be too difficult to replace.

would we be able to hijack that move and tempt him here?
-
Re: The Transfer Window Rumours thread
I think I read Hull had an obligation to buy for 4m if true I assume they would want most of that back.

Not even a remote chance.

Re: The Transfer Window Rumours thread
Chris Willock is signing apparently from QPR
-
Re: The Transfer Window Rumours thread
Would have been in our top 5 rated players last year according to WhoScored and still only 26… seems like a proven championship level player and a very solid signing to me?

Re: The Transfer Window Rumours thread
Chris Willock?
That's...that's actually decent!

Hopefully the leak doesn't **** it up because that is a good signing for this division and exactly the kind of signing you need to be making if you want to push on further up the table.

Re: The Transfer Window Rumours thread
Always a bit dubious about Twitter speculation and Willock spent a lot of time on the bench for QPR last season. However, he has been a match winner at this level in the past and , if he did come here at the age of twenty six, you’d like to think that we’d have him for the best years of his career. Must admit signing Willock would be a step up from what I wasexpecting from City this summer.

Bulut will play him at centre half then
PS:——- I haven’t got an account either

Sounds like a bit of a Josh Murphy type from some of the QPR forums.

Probably wasn't going to sign a new contract and wasn't going to break into the main squad.
Who would have paid £6-10m for him? Not many would take the gamble and he could have walked away cheaply.

10 goals in 2 seasons from attacking midield. How many matches did he win?

Ah, someone else who just looks at goals scored when judging a forward’s effectiveness.
I see QPR have just confirmed he’s left the club.
-
Re: The Transfer Window Rumours thread
QPR have confirmed he's left, so seems imminent. There was interest a couple of weeks ago, but some higher placed clubs were circling. They've done very well if they get this over the line.

8 direct goal involvements last season. 1 more than Josh Bowler. I doubt Josh Bowler would be described as a match winner by you.

And eighteen goal contributions in 20/21.

Congratulations to Dan - the first poster this summer to use the phrase ‘over the line’ in relation to a transfer.
