It's amazing how the most powerful man in the world threatening to totally destroy a country while speaking in front of the United Nations can be interpreted as a call for world peace.

Why were you asking these questions then?
Do you think the people of North Korea will suffer from the actions of a government that 'totally destroys' them?
Because out of all the things Trump said, the poster decided to zoom in on that one thing, just like the MSM did. So basically it's a regurgitation of a fault finding exercise, as opposed to a critical analysis.

I already know what the MSM stance is regarding the speech, so it's hardly worth repeating it verbatim.

Sorry buddy, I'm not sure why you're bringing MSM into this repeatedly. All that has been said is that Trump threatened to totally destroy North Korea. This is a fact, you posted his speech yourself.

There's obviously an ironic twist to your message that I should point out. If mine in your opinion was a regurgitation of a fault finding excercise then yours can be construed as a blatant piece of pro trump propaganda.
Personally I don't think it's healthy that the president of the USA should be using phrases like totally destroy in front of the UN. It makes him sound a prick and its not very reassuring to the poor punters in South Korea is it?

Yes, but the response is a typical one from the MSM, and then some posters repeat it word for word.

I'm not pro Trump, but I did watch the whole speech in which there were much bigger themes than Trump "destroying" North Korea.

This is bizarre even by your standards. The President of the US is threatening to totally destroy a country, which would almost inevitably lead to a counter attack on at least one other country but probably more, and you think that people need to check the MSM to decide if this is a good or a bad thing?
You don't think anyone can make their own mind up? How did you make yours up that Trump is just being a good egg about it all?

It plays well to his voter base though and he's on been on campaign rally mode since he realised that being a president wasn't as much fun as trying to be the president. That was maybe two months in.
The worrying part comes when his approval is so low that words and tweets are not enough and he has to press the red button to show how big his balls/hands are. It seems that when it comes to the nuclear code, no one can stop the president if that's what he wants.

Re: The Donald Trump thread
tbf the deliberate headline grabbing rhetoric and childish name-calling on N Korea (for that is what it was) did have the effect of making the threats to Iran, Venezuela and Cuba (all sovereign states where sovereignty should be embraced according to Trump) look almost statesmanlike. Apparently though Saudi Arabia, who play a similar role in shattering the sovereignty of Yemen as that of Iran escaped a yellow card. Much like Las Vegas boxing judges Trump has his favourites when it comes to looking at geo-political sins.
As someone said this was a speech made in the US for domestic consumption. Radical Islamic terrorism is back in the lexicon, presumably because Breitbart complained that that nasty globalist McMaster had been tippexing it out as soon as Bannon and Gorka put their possessions in cardboard boxes and were escorted from the premises.
How the UK and in particular Liam Fox squares its ambition for a free trade deal with the US against this America First and no one-sided deal stance shown here is probably left for another day. Perhaps our negotiating position will be so weak that a trade deal that puts America first is the only thing we are able to agree!

Actually I believe there is a war going on in the US between the elites, and even though he is independently wealthy, Trump is the man out front as the main figurehead. The real story is the Globalists v the anti-Globalists, with some big players behind the scenes on both sides.

You are on the ball today for a change  there are certainly some contradictions going on there.

Having listened to his UN remarks then there's no doubt that Donny is a neocon down to his toenails. I think we should all be bricking it with him being an eager patsy for the maniacal globalists.

Quite biblical in his approach, its like the Crusades all over again ,however I do wonder if some folk actual feel hey enough is enough of softly ,softly, the cuddly approach and polite Liberal Left speak ain't working, innocent people are still being killed other leaders spout rhetoric about removal of this state or that , why not the West .
