It might not happen this year but it will happen
I love how the man who cannot talk about the main centre-right party in the UK without labelling people scum is all "one mans terrorist is another man's freedom fighter!" when it comes to the murderous freak Sinwar. Of course, that sentiment is correct but Christ alive you are inconsistent!
You had a bit of a rant at me last night for hoping his death may prove a turning point...but that is pretty much what Harris, Biden and Starmer have said so it doesn't seem unreasonable to me

There are some who feel that Israeli government's have funded Hamas to maintain an environment that allows them to strengthen opinion to pursue their own aims of Greater Israel.

That assumes that every war is perpetual and never had turning points. And that isn't true.
There's no nativity. It could be a turning point.

Think you meant to post this in the conspiracy theory thread? It is a great example of a left-wing one btw, which some denied existed!

It's more than naivety, it's childlike! You've obviously been reading Children's Stories by Uncle Bibi Netanyahu.

I've held the view for years that the Likud Party and it's other zionist parties need Hamas and vice versa.

Likud have been open about their promotion (and funding) of Hamas for more than 20 years - to undermine Fatah.
It is no secret. The western liberal media have even started reporting on it (and quoting Bibi and other Likud leaders) in recent months.
This is real. Not a theory.

I can't claim to have any proof of that but it certainly sounds very plausible. The level of naivety, compliance and partisanship of the West leaves me cold.

Hmm, shall I believe the world leaders in the world media on this, or the guy on the football message board?

Don't dispute it, but as a means to play people off against each other. Much the same way as the US funded Afghan Islamists against the Soviets.
To suggest it's to create a greater Israel right across the middle East - that's a conspiracy theory. As with them all, there may be elements of truth in it but it's also not reality.

Hmm! Knowing you, you are likely to believe the Tooth Fairy!

No, we've established that I'm opting with the world leaders on this one, instead of the guy on the football message board.
How much you leaving for a tooth nowadays?!

I don't think we've established anything at all. I'm not aware of your opting for the Leader of Iran for example! Are you skimming things again or just bogged down reading too much Harry Potter?

Sorry I missed your aside. In your case maybe I should leave a Shekel

Of no use to me I'm afraid, I don't live in Israel!

The particular version of political Zionism that Likud and their allies (some fascist) are pushing is exactly to create a Greater Israel across Israel/Palestine and parts of Jordan, Lebanon and Syria.
Again they are not shy about it - it is part of the public discourse in Israel.
Divide and rule. Settlement expansion. Ethnic cleansing. Genocide. Funding and promoting Hamas. All part of the same process.
Not a conspiracy theory.

Not a conspiracy theory.
Dorcus mentioned the entirety of those countries earlier and even Iran.
There is no evidence for that whatsoever. And again, we see that when it is one side, it is fair game to create as fact something that simply isn't so.
We know there are border disputes, we know Israel are very aggressive in defending them and expanding beyond them. The idea of greater Israel stretching from Mt Sinai to Tehran. I'm sorry, it's a conspiracy theory.

How could you possibly know otherwise?

The same can be said about absolutely anything referring to the future.

Again, incomprehensibly myopic as usual. Do you get tucked up in bed each night by someone reading right wing fairy stories to you?

"They just can't see it man!"
Mental how you can't see that you sound exactly like the conspiracy theorists you are criticising on this thread here.
Bonkers. I thought you were joking when you mentioned the tooth fairy earlier. Im starting to think you feel she's a mossad agent.
