Re: CARDIFF CITY v HULL CITY. Match thread
Just got back, and I put in more physical effort walking back to my car than Ojo did tonight. Always been a lazy player but tonight not just a complete waste of a shirt but also cost us both goals. Despite a poor performance, at 2-1 their confidence had gone and we would have strolled it. How Hudson kept him on the pitch for so long is a mystery to me...

The pressing worked when we scored our first goal, Hull took some huge risks early on in the game but our pressing was all over the place then - as Hilts said Robinson was pressing and Ojo and Sawyers weren’t . I do however agree it was all very messy

If Hudson wants to succeed in management here is his chance
Unless we have no choice but to pick them several players shouldn't be in his next team
Load of old crap

Your right we were 2-1 up without hardly any decent football. Our second was even the result of Ojo choosing the wrong option and his poor shot ending up at Robinsons feet. We then have our best spell and Ojo again loses possession.
Thats on Hudson.

Huge gaps between attack, midfield and defence. It was so easy for Hull at times. We have signed some absolute garbage. I think some people might like Rino but my god, he can't trap a bag of cement. We're stuck with Ojo, Sawyers and Simpson for another season. We've pissed 500k up the wall on Etete, he can't play. I mean, Gavin Whyte is getting game time and wasn't terrible comparatively. That's a shocking indictment of the window. We all thought he was garbage last season, and he still is but he's better than some.

Re: FT: CARDIFF CITY 2 - 3 HULL CITY. Match thread
That was so frustrating, this league is so even as bad as we've been at one point we were twelfth in the League, and that's including two experimental managers that don't know their best teams and no Striker for most of the season!
I've said it before, but the squad is weak, for the last three weeks we've had to play without our Striker, we get him back and we have to play without our defensive midfielder and best centre-half. You'd have to look at the discipline Robinson got overexcited and made a massive mistake, then Kipre and Wintle get a yellow card each in the last game that counts when we know there is a months break just after, surely they sat them down and explained it's imperative you try and avoid a yellow at all costs?
If we could have added Kipre, Wintle (both absolutely essential players) Collins, and a fit slim Colwill and possibly a fit Davies for most of this season we'd be in the top six easily. Our first team is as good as most but if we lose any we struggle more than most as the reserves are below standard.
Still onwards and upwards, I wouldn't be surprised if we see a massive improvement again with Wintle, Kipre, and Robinson all on the pitch, we may have to shuffle again as we are still weak at left-back.

Re: FT: CARDIFF CITY 2 - 3 HULL CITY. Match thread
Very poor first half - lucky to go in just 1 down.
Hull were not great - their keep looked shaky as with the ball and we only pressed it once all night when we scored.
We were in complete control for about 5 mins after our 2nd -complete control and I believe we would have got a 3rd as Hull were on the deck.
Then from absolutely nowhere It was like a scene with the Pikey on Snatch.

We are miles away from being a top 6 team.
Im hoping with all our best available we can be out of the bottom 6 and I think thats a big if.

It did, but from what i could see we pressed as a two for the goal and left the wide players in so that Hull didn't have an option, which forced the poor pass in my opinion. I may be wrong, just a quick observation. We were terrible though, we learnt a bit more about certain players this evening.

Striker delay cost us so many points, as did stupid suspensions, bad refereeing decisions, and injuries. I think we are a mid-table team, now that we have Robinson, and will now finish 11th to 16th. Today was pathetic mind Wintle, and Kipre and we win easily.

You said it. It's looking very grim.

Two days ago the world and his wife were waxing lyrical about Sheff Utd's 5-2 win over top-of-the-table Burnley. Tonight they lose at home to Rotherham. With 20 minutes to go we were in the top half of the league. We're not great and I'll say again, a side that took weeks to put together will be a success if they stay up. The one thing that linked both us and Hull tonight was just how fragile both sides were when confidence had gone.

Re: FT: CARDIFF CITY 2 - 3 HULL CITY. Match thread
New Hull manager Liam Rosenior: "After only three training sessions the first half was outstanding in terms of the control, the dominance and the chances we created. We are going to make mistakes playing this way, but what pleased me most was the fact that having fallen behind after being in control of the game we came back and scored two outstanding goals from young Regan.
"The first two training sessions was about our defensive shape and about being organised for a difficult game at Millwall. We had a 15-minute walk through on positions yesterday and I showed them a video last night. All credit to them. They have shown me they believe in the style and are willing to be brave. They also showed great determination in coming back after going 2-1 down. I thought we were by far the better team and I'm proud they were able to come back and re-assert their dominance."

They were the better team but couldn’t fail to be. Thought we had them at 2-1. The first have was undoubtedly the worse half this season and there has been good competition for that prize.

Agreed. He can appear safe at times but also liable quite often to let one past him a foot from his body. He’s not good enough.

They were the better of two poor sides
He's bigging them up which is his job I suppose but they look a relegation side as do we

Re: FT: CARDIFF CITY 2 - 3 HULL CITY. Match thread
My fist game was 93/94 Cardiff City 3 - 4 Hull City. Great things can be born from a home loss to Hull. Stant came home, we beat Man City in the cup, we avoided relegation. We are so far and away better than that day! Remember where we were!

They had 4 shots on goal…and scored 3 goals. They were awful…not quite as awful as us tonight unfortunately. I’m going to have my maximum bet on them being relegated….hopefully along with Huddersfield, Wigan, Rotherham or Reading….and not us !

We are clearly one of the worst. Add in Blackpool and Bristol City.
Tonight was a huge relegation 6 pointer and we deservedly lost.

Didn’t see any of the game but it reads like we need Ebou Adams in the team urgently, he will offer what it sounds like Sawyers & Ojo don’t. What is a shoulder injury taking 4 months?

Says it all about the window if we are pinning our hopes on a player coming from L2.
Id bring King back as well from loan.
Sawyers and Ojo are getting stick but Rino was almost completely anonymous apart from the occasional back pass. Ralls seemed to be fighting a lone battle last night and our position will be even worse if he gets injured again.

Not with Wintle and Kipre back, hopefully, Adams, Colwill, and Davies after the World cup, and fingers crossed Collins can be back before the end of the season too.

I can remember Steve Morison saying how well he was coming along about two months ago
