We should be grateful that the new dragon is as small as it is.

Think that's a good effort all things considered.
Do you think Matt Lucas would do it justice?Quote:

I totally disagree, I think the dragon is quite simplistic for what it could have been. I guarantee it wouldn't look any worse scaled down to a small size when it's a lossless format which it will be as it's a vector image. There's far more complicated badge designs out there. Far moreQuote:

Yes of course, that's all it was... I don't agree with a lot of his petulant comments in this thread but you're getting a bit personal with the above.Quote:

I like it. Yes, it's fairly simplistic but it's much less of a mess than the last one. It's also a fair compromise.
Besides this, we changed our badge plenty of times pre-rebrand without masses of angst. None of those badges were masterpieces of branding either.
You are so right sad sad peopleQuote:

Not great, but if someone had said to me at the start of the season that we'd be back in blue with that badge, I'd have bitten their hands off. It's a vast improvement on that monstrosity beermat badge.
FFS. Really?
On genuine reflection you are absolutely right, and I sincerely apologise.Quote:

Much better than the last badge. I was expecting much worse so quite happy with it. Onwards and Upwards. http://www.ccmb.co.uk/images/smiley_icons/thumbup.gif
Much better than that Sam hammam monstrosity of a badge
Thanks for the lossless guarantee but it's about perception by the human eye and not the ability for modern technology to reproduce things in miniature. (I worked on products in vector format for ten years so I am not totally unaware of the concept).Quote:

Does anyone think this badge is the final design? Just wondering if the club will now see what everyone's opinion is and act accordingly. For me the badge is just alright. It could be a lot better but it could also be a lot worse. I have no real problem with the concept of an oriental dragon but the one on the badge is something of nothing. It's too small, unrecognisable as a dragon and just looks like an after thought. If they are going to have the dragon they need to improve on it because at the moment it just looks like an earwig. They'd be better of ditching the earwig and just have a welsh dragon, that would look a lot better. If they are going to a have a dragon I think it needs to be a little bit bigger because you can't really see what it is. I hate designers that are afraid of their own design! If you want a dragon at least do it justice otherwise just get rid of it.
Who is picking on you?You would make a good journalist-just like Steve Tucker!! http://www.ccmb.co.uk/images/smiley_icons/tong.gifQuote:

I like the simplicity. I don't like the salamander. I just read this whole thread :(
Cardiff hasn't been a Capital for 100 years it has only been Capital since 1955 so 60 years(I'm assuming that's the bit he is on about )Quote:

Thirdly, there is no evidence that Riverside were playing in brown and amber when the change to Cardiff City occurred. On the contrary, the very limited photographic evidence from that period suggests that they were playing in the same strip as Cardiff City from around 1900 onwards.Quote:

Not sure but personally if I was to change it then I would have a yellow border instead of the red border and maybe move the ribbon to the top and have another ribbon at the bottom saying "BlueBirds"Quote:
