In my previous role as a paramedic I have come across many elderly people who are neglected and who have died in their homes in horrific personal circumstance. Many being found lying in their bodily fluids for days unnoticed. Nobody but their closest family mourning them, if they were lucky. So I don’t shed any tears for a rich and powerful woman who has had a lifestyle that few could only dream of.
Fair play, huge respect. I've never understood your average squaddie's passion for the monarchy and all things right wing. It's refreshing to get a more sensible view on the matter.

I'm not sure many would dream of her lifestyle, as you put it.

I’m not going to shed any tears either, but I’m sad that she has passed away and don’t understand why people have to be abusive towards the subject.
If you don’t like the former Queen or the Monarchy, fine , but that should be for another time or at the very least in a separate subject matter.
You are seeing this as very black or white. You can like them and not think things that people enjoy should be cancelled. You can like them and not think there should be some state mandated mourning process. You could even be a republican but feel that while we have a royal family we should have state mandated mourning.
I will always think it is weird to mourn somebody you don't know personally, grief to me is a persons way of coping with somebody not having a familiar effect on their life anymore, I dont see how people can feel so connected to the queen (or a footballer, popstar, movie star etc.). If somebody doesn't like me not mourning, then I will tell them what I think. I don't think many people are going out there looking to upset people who are mourning/upset.

People spend their lives trying to accrue power and wealth and she has more than any of them could ever dream of, I am pretty sure a lot of people would ****ing love to be king or queen.

The Monarchy, religion, for people that can’t face real life and are searching for someone to worship. Sad really

I’m referring to the Royal Navy , what persuasion the “average squaddie” has, I have no idea , but thanks for your stereo- type view.

It’s a strange world we live in. Character like David Icke preaches absolute gobbledeegook, and quite rightly gets thought of as a bit of a nut job. Priest on the radio today talking about the Queen being delivered to God, and other ridiculous religious guff, and nobody blinks an eyelid.

It's just a dear old lady dying , the reaction is embarrassing, same as when Diana died
The people crying and wailing won't be as quick to help out the homeless the poor and the starving

its easy enough to ignore it, just turn the TV / radio off ( though I also get it will also give people less to moan about ) we will miss 2 weekends of sport, big deal, do something else with your time
Up yours
It's day two and the only thing on the telly is people trying to get in front of the cameras to have their 5 minutes of fame

Thank **** for Netflix. And I'm not a big fan of that, but at least I can choose to watch something else instead of weeks of this coverage.

Absoloute nonsense
People are sending round joke videos on Facebook and twitter
If people are going to do that thing you think .....because you have some link to the military .....so do I.....that everyone should show respect ?
This is all pathetic. A few weeks ago a little girl was shot in Liverpool. That's sad . Old age pensioners not getting care because of this awful awful government . That's bad .
An old lady dying who people didn't know and people are having hysterical reactions ?
Sorry but I think these people are open to ridicule.

Navy , Army , Air Force , all pledge to the Queen don't they ?
It's the same sort of thing
2 days after her death and people are still .....sad .......I think that's very odd
How long is it going to take you to get over this ?

Who is having hysterical reactions , I don’t know of anyone , but then again I don’t watch BBC or mainstream news.
If you watch those programs then that’s your own fault, you know how they sensationalise everything.

Loads of people on social media , radio and TV, talking about the death of someone they never met as if its their wife or

Jeremy Corbyn’s twitter comment on the death of Elizabeth II:
‘My thoughts are with the Queen’s family as they come to terms with their personal loss, as well as those here and around the world who will mourn her death.
I enjoyed discussing our families, gardens and jam-making with her.
May she rest in peace.’
Brief, respectful but concerned with the person not the institution.

Perfect, only people with a problem with the singer, not the song, could be critical of that.
