It's telling that the two best attacking options in the squad includes a player who has just one Championship goal to his name.
If the height of people's ambitions is a 0-0 draw at Coventry, then fair enough. But this 'decent' Coventry side people have been referring to have lost at home to Bristol City and Blackpool this season, and drawn with Rotherham and the Jacks. They're 13th and obviously no great shakes, but who is in this wretched division is this time around? Personally, I don't believe Coventry are any better or worse than almost all of the sides from 3rd to 24th. Only the top two teams look to have any genuine quality, and they're not brilliant either.
For the benefit of doubt, I'm not one of those who thinks Hudson should be sacked. I don't think he has what it takes to be a manager, I believe he'd be more suited to a coaching position, but I think sacking him at this stage would be pointless, especially given the transfer embargo.

Coventry are like you say very average, shows what Hudson’s ambitions are when he sets up not to win against a side with arguably the lowest playing budget in the league.
Worrying times

I never said Coventry are decent but at home against us with the team we had out I'm sure they had it down as a home win.
If I'm honest when I saw the side at best all I could see was a rear guard scrambled away point.

I thought we were going to get leathered , it was a point gained
The problem we have is getting a couple of wins on the board
I can't see it happening at present
Hudson would make a good number 2 and maybe a manager but its too much pressure on him at the moment because we have always had an unrealistic fan base and , at the moment , we are in a serious relegation battle
We are almost certainly not going to see a change in manager and we don't have any money so it is what it is
If Hudson keeps us up he will be praised and rightly so but we really need a couple of wins to give him and the team confidence
Stating the obvious of course but there you go
Re: FT: COVENTRY CITY 0 - 0 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Under McCarthy, Hudson was assistant to the assistant, and has achieved his present position due to the two guys above him both losing their jobs. Not the best way to appoint anyone ("Hey Hudson is still here, and he's cheap. Let's give HIM the job"), but he's in the post at the moment, and that's what counts. I don't think he's really up to the job as it stands, but I can't see the club splashing out on any replacement, so we have to live with what we've got. We'll get our key players back, and things should stabilise, especially if we get a couple of wins under our belt. Let's be honest, he only (only!) has to get 22 points from 21 games. It can't be that hard, surely...?

Hudson came in after McCarthy was sacked
