That backlash is largely due to Starmers govt in Westminster, but also against a quarter of a century of Labour rule here in Wales, which I think people are fed up with, or at the very least bored. Plaid have propped Labour up at numerous points in that quarter century, so that's why there's some truth in it.
I thought Lindsey Whittle came across quite well actually, and a genuine character and the part where he said "I believe you" to the Reform guy, in a world of mudslinging and verbal abuse was actually quite touching.
