They can’t be considering Hudson surely? Why not just keep Morison if that is the case!

We’re the new Watford.
I just think that he’s got a very high, unjustified, opinion of himself football wise. His, in my opinion, over thinking of things tactically is a failing. His tinkering with the line up when not necessary is (was) a thing that’s annoying, it’s as if it came off he’d tap his nose with a ‘See how clever I am at this football tactics lark’, unfortunately, for him, it very rarely, if ever, came off.
Would be wonderful but I think wishful thinking. 😏
A few bits on who's apparently not on the list, and the reasons for the sacking here https://mobile.twitter.com/DarrenOWi...47212273930241
Any new manager would have to select the team from the existing players with no prospect of funds in January. The tactics should be determined by the players at the new manager's disposal so any thoughts of playing hoofball will or should be out of the question as those that have been brought in are unsuitable for that kind of play. The best manager to select a team from the existing squad is Morrison and that is why the decision to sack him is bonkers.
At least the in the know battles will be entertaining for the next few weeks.
Don't like to see anyone lose their job but he should never have been given the job in the first place, completely out of his depth.
I would rather Hudson than Mark Hughes
He walks like a cowboy
I suppose so, I just think it’s going to be tough for a new manager to take on these players that are “Morisons experiment”. Interesting, but it’s like we’re stuck in a never ending cycle of pain, and that won’t change until Tan and his cronies piss off (in my opinion)
Until the club is bought by someone else then its pointless waving guns in the air
Tan calls the shots
He made a good decision in getting warnock in but after his star faded its been a death metal festival
I think you have to support the manager but now he's been relieved of his duties it would be best if Hudson was handed the keys on a temporary basis as he's never a permanent solution
Would be rather ironic if we appointed David Wagner, as it was Hudson who was appointed Caretaker at Huddersfield when Wagner was sacked there 3 years ago.
Colchester have just sacked Wayne Brown...
Just sating, like.
Like almost everyone else oh here, totally gobsmacked by the sacking.
It seems that Tan felt that the season was in danger of being a relegation battle and acted.
Like many others though, there is a feeling that there is more to it than that.
There had been a need for a central striker all season, and though we would have had to settle for journeyman, almost anyone would be better than what we've got. Paterson is a good link up player but not about and out striker. Morison seemed dead set against the journeyman idea.
There are loads of other aspects of his reign which are being talked about. On a personal note I did not take to the man. I suspect behind the scenes there are many like me. Perhaps Tan was one of them.
Colchester United U23's is where Morison will end up if he's lucky
He had the opportunity here to succeed and was backed with the players he wanted, unfortunately he just wasn't up to the job
At least he won't be lonely as he has his over inflated ego to keep him company and a long time to reflect on his man management skills (or lack of allegedly)
The club website appears to be offline - for me anyway.
Maybe they are in frantic recovery mode after a hack and the club statement was a joke by Organ, Pedro or a random Jack?
We will wake up in the morning to business as usual and Steve Morison laying into ‘you lot’!
the timing of it is very strange.
if you want to change manager then we could surely find someone in the background and then get rid of Morison when we have someone in place.
what was the point of sacking him now when we clearly have no idea of where we want to go next?
I fear for this next appointment
International window, all the players will be on holiday this week. In that respect, it looks like the perfect timing.
We're pretty much playing Saturday/Tuesday from October to mid November. There's no point getting a new manager in once we get started, they won't be able to get on the training ground.
From the other board - so now we know why
"I was told just now: Tan had not planned to get rid of Morison, there was heated discussions at h-t and full-time, then after the game Morison walked as he was given the nod that his time was up after the heated exchanges with Tan.
So I believe there will be NO compensation for Morison.
So there was no one lined up"
I think its unlikely hes just walked and no comp.
