Overall I tend to agree, other than Ng no big losses there and presumably all on relatively high wages, think we'd be very happy to give them away if we can find takers.
Anyone that is forcing their way out other than Salech can get driven as far as I'm concerned. They're the reason we're here.

Good luck with Robinson and others if you believe that

As it stands out squad's average age is 24.2 (making some assumptions about who moves from the U21s to the 1st team squad).
If Horvath, Ng, Turnbull and Willock all left it would be 23.6.
The players who have left already (not including loanees returning to their parent clubs) have an average age of 28.75.
(All figures above subject to my maths abilities!)

If they've asked to leave as a result of the relegation clause in their contracts which results in them taking a pay cut then the Club has consider the implications of keeping players who don't want to be here. What the Club thinks they are worth may be influenced by a desire just to get rid of them.

Gent have paid Dinamo Zagreb €1.2mm for Wilfried Kanga, 6 months after he left us and Zagreb paid €1.7m to Hertha Berlin for him!

How the actual feck has anyone paid money for Wilfried Kanga????
Maybe there's hope some idiotic club will pay money for some of our rubbish because as bad as they are none are comparable to Kanga.

And so would conclude one of our oddest transfers.

Re: The Transfer Rumour Thread
And yet, we see no reason to question anything with regards to the structure of the club and the way it’s run.
Chop and change the manager for the twentieth time in 5 years, that’ll do it.

What was the point in buying him? Ridiculous transfer by a ridiculous club with a ridiculous transfer committee.

Re: The Transfer Rumour Thread
I would like to thnk that both Tsunoda and Simic will be assessed by the new Manager before being allowed to leave unless, of course, they have both expressed a desire to go.
Not seen much of Simic but his goals for the U21s in his few appearances showed that there was an element of skill there. I think that the previous regime felt that he was too lightweight. Perhaps the new guys will have a different view. Who knows?
Not seen anything of Tsunods but he got plenty of game in Belgium.

Re: The Transfer Rumour Thread
Was Simic really that bad that he could basically get no playtime? This is the team that played Etete, who struggled in the U21's, at least Simic got some contributions. Maybe it was a culture shock/attitude problem.

I agree, it seems nonsense to appoint a new manager and then sell players from underneath him. Simic is exactly the type of player that BBM has been brought in to get the best out of.
No comment on Tsunoda, he’s just a mystery

Do you think?
They spent the McGuinness money on Robertson, Fish, Daland, Salech and Simic.
All in all, it was money well spent and their combined value has increased. One failure out of 5 is not bad for any club and Simic's age and pedigree suggested it wasn't a wild punt.
Playing for the U21's he showed to be very comfortable on the ball, good touch and a natural goalscorer. He didn't look hardworking, strong or brave. Unless that were to change he'd have no chance in the English leagues.

Pardon?
Daland and Simic have been total disasters, Fish and Robertson haven't increased in value and Salech cost a fair bit

still plenty of time for any of them to come good.
if someone wanted to sign Robertson or Salech the. I think they'd need to part with considerably more than we did in order to get them. Fish probably too.

A low level? Osijek are in the Croatian top flight and we're in League 1!

Why? We're in the third tier, the amount we could demand for any of our players lowered upon relegation and that's presuming none of them have release clauses

Daland is 25. If he comes good, I will be amazed. He's so far off the level required.

That's a bit if a rant/spit.
You haven't really addressed what has been said.
But you are quite correct in saying that Simic and Daland have not (yet) been successful signings. (I doubt Simic ever will be). I'm not sure Luton fans would say anything different about McGuinness.
Overall the signings of the 5 will have seen an uplift in value. Salech may sell for more than the whole lot cost together. Robertson and Fish at £1m each were good signings. It was the performance of senior players that led to our relegation last season not the 21 year olds.
https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/card...ers/verein/603
Daland is an interesting one, clearly has some quality. I think BBM will like his ball playing ability. He has a fundamental flaw as to strength in contact/challenge. If that could be corrected (big if) he could be a very good player alongside a traditional 5. I think that a Jupiler Pro 1 or Eredivisie team would still take him at £1m+ if we looked to sell. He's proven himself at that level.
