Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
Crole looks a decent lad with a bit of pace and can finish

I'd like to give Morison a chance with the first team he's got these playing decent pass and move football.

yes we are pressing well and playing with proper wingbacks. I'd be happy to see him in until the end of the season

As long as whatever happened he could go back to his u23's role. Would be disappointing if a new guy came in and the u23's staff changed with it.

Interesting today that Keenan Patten, Kieron Evans and Zimba had been added to 1st. team squad with Colwill and Bowen. I have seen Zimba a number of times and he looks very promising. He has to be better than Collins or Harris.

I think his pace for one.
I also think the opportunity, raw ability, hunger to succeed that older pros seem to lose over time.
He may not work out, but it's got to be worth a go.

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
There should be continuity through the academy/u23’s and first team all playing the same style of football.
Sadly Mad Mick stifles the poor lads coming through moulding them into the hoofball which is completely alien to them.
Hopefully another Warnock win on Saturday ironically will be Mad Micks last game at the helm
Bump up Steve Morrison 🥊👍

Part of me wants him to stay with the u23 so they have some continuity as you say..

Live stream of Wales v Scotland Under 16s at this link - Wales need to avoid defeat to win the Victory Dhield outright.

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
Great Scottish goal - unfortunately.

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
And another Scottish goal presented to them on a plate this time.
-
Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
Finished 2-0, so it’s a shared title with Scotland and Northern Ireland if they beat the Republic. Disappointing, Wales were second best today, but a good tournament overall.

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
U18s are 4-0 up against Watford.
Maybe we should just forget about 1st team football.
-
Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
SO what can we expect from the first team with Morrison in charge?

Based on this season’s Under 23 team, the return of a back three with wing backs, maybe a few more youngsters starting and more of a high press. It appears to me that the Under 23s have been trying to play more like the first team did when McCarthy first came here.

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
The Under 23s play their latest game, at Ipswich, today, kick off midday - doesn’t look like it’s going to be streamed.

Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
No George Ratcliffe. 1st team debut on Saturday? His distribution seems better than Smithies and Phillips from what I've seen.
