In my reply to your post re-Die Hard, I said that he's a huge guy, so take your choice between the two in Mike's link.

I don't have progeny who are consuming the planet and its resources, if that helps. And you will be pleased to know that, by June, I will have forgone flights to Ireland, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.....

And I will be doing the world a favour by transporting the veg to my home by foot (albeit over a low fence) rather than it travelling via a supermarket lorry. Still waiting for the seeds to arrive but watching my cress, strawberry plant and avocado seeds/plants growing on my kitchen window ledge in the meantime. Very rock'n'roll.
Maybe I should set up a Cress Cam....

Re: CCMB posters who have disappeared from this board.
Many will remember The Alien (Mark), his wife Tricia put out a FB message yesterday with it being his birthday, I know he did a few roof jobs on here for some, myself included, was talking to Mark right up until the time of his passing, a brilliant guy always tried to avoid any conflict on here, big turnout at his funeral for a much loved guy within his community. RIP Mark.

Sounds great, nothing better than eating fruit and veg fresh from the ground. My cherry tree has an abundant of blossom this year so could be a decent crop. Give me a shout if you set up that Cress Cam...

About a year before his sad passing, Mark asked me to investigate a line of his family tree. It was challenging but we got there in the end - forty-eight A4 pages and a few months later. There were stevedores at Gravesend; illegal marriages (like an avuncular marriage when a niece married her uncle); an ancestor who was killed by accidentally being knocked down by a cow; another who was 'living by the side of the road in a tent' according to the census enumerator; photos of two great grand-uncles and his grtx2 grandparents; his grtx7 grandfather who rejoiced in the name Cornelius and owned his own boat.
Mark wasn't in the least phased by any of these and the rest of the revelations and was particularly tickled that he had a parish constable as well as a police constable in his family tree.
Mark was a gent and fun to be with. RIP

Yes, still researching - and I've looked at several posters family trees.
Found this comment by Mark:
"I tried tracing my Mum's side of my family tree back and I was getting nowhere, and she got a very unusual surname.
In the end Cyclops kindly agreed to trace mine back for me and some of the stuff he unearthed was staggering. Not just the names of my ancestors but lots of info about them too. He managed to go back as far as my grandfather x 8 in the 1600s."
I also write for Family Tree magagzine.
PM me?

Don't need much that much info - you'd be surprised how much can be gleaned from the internet. All one needs is the expertise and the sources.

I wish you didn't let that idiot on your board.
Anyway, I'll do it again, Mike, differences aside I'm pretty sure Colonel could point you in the right direction to sort the board out (if that's what you even wish to do) I could also point you towards a good friend of mine who would also be able to do this for you ( I do have a serious side when I don't get dragged into rows - apologies for my self defensive nature)
To organ Morgan who mentioned me, I'm still here mate, probably to the groans of others, I just don't see the point of posting now there's no football. Granted it often goes off track... But the main point of being here is to talk Cardiff city, if we can't do that Wales gets a second...and other football naturally.
Pint cans of Stella for the win.
Friendly surprise not to be covered in who sludge would Shag threads, so that's a bonus I suppose. Unless they had pictures.
