Not happy, no master chef final either ffs....
On the flip side, I know nothing about royal affairs so decided to read a bit about him. Quite a crazy life, certainly when he was a kid. Liked to get involved but after marrying the queen had to take a back seat. Also Liked the fact he was the only person in the world who could treat her like a normal person....maybe that’s why she loved him so hey?

What's that supposed to mean? Why the sarcasm?
Or are you implying you think it's a good thing that the government of the day can close down all broadcasting except what they want us to hear at a moments notice?

I’ve just watched New Order on Sky. No minutes silence for Phil boy?
Disgusting. Probably treasonous.

Bloody right, put away the black arm bands, obviously too heavy for Smithies yesterday.
Re: Duke of Edinburgh dies
I had to laugh at one thing said on radio on Friday.
It was a news bulletin and the reader said. "The Duke of Edinburgh is dead. We will send you updates as they come in.
He's dead ffs, how can you update "Dead"??

Re: Duke of Edinburgh dies
I just can't believe a 99 year old bloke has died
The NHS is on its knees and needs to take a long hard look at itself
Ashamed to be British
Re: Duke of Edinburgh dies
Seven and a half hours of tributes to Philip Windsor in Parliament today. Similar sessions in the devolved assemblies/parliaments.
Lords to be paid £162 'attendance allowance' for making video call tributes for the Duke of Edinburgh.
Good job there's nothing else for our elected representatives to be dealing with! Or just maybe (as my other half said yesterday) this all smacks of a cynical exercise in burying (ha!) bad news.
Ashamed to be British too.

300,000 per year in the UK at the moment apparently. Over 7 million have done at least one of the awards since its inception apparently.
Not a bad achievement

Come on own up, which one of you was it? :hehe:

Some Tory complained that a complaint option wouldn't have been available for a left wing event, but what would that be? The May Day bank holiday?

I dunno what all the fuss is about, he's just another proxy grandfather to me.
