I'm on the side of truth whichever side that is? Why would someone who is so low that he wants to end it all and kill himself care what debris or evidence was left behind or care how the plane landed if he knew he was going to die?

Possibly because he decided to die for his principles and hoped (in his own mind) that those principles would be promoted as a result of his death. The same reason that religious martyrs and patriotic soldiers give up their lives. It's not an unusual phenomenon.

The Indian Ocean is not quite the Hudson river now is it? The altitude and speed is landed from/at aren't either, are they Captain?
Why are you wasting your life pretending to be someone else? Its a mental disorder thats always fascinated me.. Expect a sudden disappearance of this 'pilot' too, he may resurface with another alter-ego, my guess is as a retired Military Officer or the something of the like

Re: One for the beam me up scotty Brigade. MH370
I've already linked to an article written by an experienced B777 pilot on here.
If you want to look at an in depth analyst of the events , and also speculation of what happened but not of the bizarre fruit loop conspiracy type beloved by some on here
Then there is a huge thread on pprune.org.
It's a website for professional pilots to discuss such events and includes a lot of technical info regarding the crash , much of which would be beyond non professionals.
It's deals in cold hard aeronautical facts, and not nonsensical cyberspace bluster.
Most of the evidence points to a controlled landing on to the sea followed most proberly by a slow descent to the bottom of the ocean.
Any high impact crash into water whether it be by human intervention as per Egypt Air 990 or pilot error as Air France 447 or catastrophic failure of some type as in TWA 801 caused by a ruptured fuel tank has ALWAYS lead to a huge amount of debris from which clues are pieced together and usually a cause or motive found.
Even the Air India crash in 1985 half way across the Atlantic a thousand miles from either the eastern seaboard or the west coast f Ireland resulted in debris bent recovered and enoughevidence was found , enough to ascertain a bomb was the cause.
The fact that there was no debris in this crash, and NONE has surfaced despite the area it went down in I.e the roaring forties being an area of high tidal currents , leads most experts
To suggest that the plane landed in tact.
There was no distress message , which rules out fire and/or control failure.
It takes seconds to make a mayday call.
There was no hijack.
After 9/11 no crew or indeed passengers are going to sit idly by whilst their aircraft is used as some sort of human missile.
As an aside all flight deck doors are now double locked , bullet proof and have cctv.
We know can see who is trying to gain access to that door.
So the evidence begins to point to a knowing act of sabotage by a crewmember.
Speculation suggests that one of the other pilots was incapacitated ( easily done) the aircraft depressurised rendering the passengers unconscious.
At cruise level with no O2 you have about 15- 30 seconds of useful consciousness.
We in the flight deck have an independant system which usually lasts on my aircraft 70 mins.
Enough to descend below 140000 ft where oxygen is no longer required.
Then you fly to your pre planned end point possibly a good few thousand miles away from the nearest land.
Now sheep my friend , none of this is a conspiracy theory , it is tho I concede speculation based on events and past accidents and their case history.
And Until the Indian Ocean gives up any evidence in particular the Cockpit Voice Recorder , speculation it will remain.
I for one hope it is found as we will finally get the REAL answers for this case as its particularly unique and fascinating ,which is why it's been jumped on by the conspiracy brigade.

Oh come on calonlan , you are making it up as you go along now, what principles? He killed all of the people on the plane (apparently), if he had any principles he would have stayed home from work that day and killed himself at home and not dragged innocent people in to it, that does not explain why he would care what debris or evidence was left behind or care how the plane landed if he knew he was going to die?

Re: One for the beam me up scotty Brigade. MH370
Nope it's based on the fact that the Cockpit CVR has not been recovered and until it is so , everything about this accident remains hypothetical and speculation .
As in the case of ANY aircraft accident.

The first word of my post 'Possibly' but I'm as ignorant as you over the finer point. It's probably better if we both pay attention to the person who actually has experience flying aircraft. You're a DJ and I teach English. Let's respect each others' expertise. Neither of us knows anything about piloting.

A boeing 777 and Airbus a320 land at the same speed give or take 5 or 10 kts.
If you are as ignorant as me why are you telling everyone else they are wrong? If I say 'possibly' the plane didn't crash I would get a load of crap for it but if you do it it's fine, I know people who have had depression and suicidal tendencies, thoughts of what happens after their death do not come in to it a lot of the time, I'm sure many wouldn't go through with it if they thought about the affect it would have on their families ect, that is why I can't see any logic in why this guy would care if any evidence was left behind?

However this may not be true ,as in most modern aircraft a depressurisation would result in the automatic deployment of the overhead passenger oxygen masks.

The Indian Ocean is not quite the Hudson river now is it? The altitude and speed is landed from/at aren't either, are they Captain?

Excuse me! What has piloting got to do with crashing? If I'm going to crash; then I would prefer it to be with someone who could occupy my mind by correcting my punctuation, or playing me some music, than a soon to be failed pilot, screaming his tits off at the controls.

I think pilots probably know more about the causes, effects and circumstances of aircraft crashing than people who have never been in control of an aircraft like you or me. In your favour, though, you probably know far more than Sky High about changing the toner in the photocopier when it stops working. We all have our own specialisms.

Put it this way, it's more likely the pilot wouldn't have wanted to have be seen as a suicide rather than the plane being flown through a shedload of international airspace to a secret location with all the people killed so they could setup Russia for shooting down a different place with a different load of people on.

If the pilot didn't want to be seen as a suicide why didn't he crash it to the sea so it looked like a crash?
