I worked in an office for 10 years, until very recently with 2 muslims, 1 of them, I was and still am very friendly with, we had long discussions about this, being ignorant of this stuff i was quite surprised to learn of how close the Bible and the Quran are, it's the interpretation where it all seems to get mixed up, there was also a third muslim at one time, a Pakistani lad which i understand you are Pakistani, my butty is an Indian Muslim, he and the Pakistani lad where forever at loggerheads, I had to step in on more then one occasion to keep them apart, both spoke Hindi so i never knew what the rows were about, one of them threw an A4 hole punch at the other one day and it turned very nasty, but outside there little spats they were good mates and still keep contact with each other, it was the indian lad who explained to me about the different prophets and is basically the reason that there are the different muslim groups

Personally I can no longer bear any kind of religion. I wont stand for discrimination - feck 'em all I say.

Our mainstream religions are surely little more than localised traditions , a way of explaining our existence/life through allegory and also a fear/reward based method of people control from ancient times where there was no other method.

20th and 21st Century global comms has exposed organised, indoctrinating Religion for what it is. A crock of shite leading to distrust, dislike, war, quarrel and terror.

What a load of antiquated sh1t, likely to be the ruin of the Human race, unless we learn some positive lessons and find common ground - fast.

When i think back to my youth, being a Catholic at St. Illts and living on a predominantly proddy estate,
we had to walk the gauntlet of Greenway Road, we had to constantly fend off attacks from the Caer Castell proddy firm,
did get the upper hand on a few occasions but the majority of the time came unstuck, if we went the Newport road route
it was double bubble having some LLanrumney high to contend with as well, it was a little surreal, as soon as you were home
and not on skool time, I would be out playing football or cricket with the same guys.

BTW, we were better dressers.
