McGuiness had a great game. I don't think he missed anything in the air, did he?

I’d also change Goutas for Panzo.
Some big performances tonight and a lot to be optimistic about. The midfield looks best we’ve had for years, really like Siopos. Maguinness was a rock, Ramsey is one of the best in the league and Collins was class tonight. We’ve got a gem in Tanner. I’m feeling positive.
Totally agree and not wishing to deprecate Goutas but I think Panzo will be first choice as the season progresses. With some careful tinkering by the manager I think we've got the makings of a solid higher mid table team come January making the case for some quality additions. That's got to be the game plan now.

While we are all enjoying this, please spare a thought for Ollie Mcburnie today. Poor lad

Re: FT: CARDIFF CITY 2 - 0 SWANSEA CITY. Match thread
We are not watching Liverpool or united or Man City where that lot spend hundreds of millions
It was a scrappy game in poor conditions but we got two goals and won the game
Onwards

And the injured Joe Allen. What a shame.

This game was won by about 6 players. 2 of those were Aaron Ramsey

Superb. Wintle was great as he allows Siopis to run around like a man man, what a player he was tonight. Ramsey is different class. We completely outplayed them tonight, it was so one sided. Well done City, that was immense.
Grant is rapid, too. He just needs one to go in off his arse and we’ve got a player. Tanner should keep coming on after 60 mins and run teams ragged. That’s the first time we’ve gone into a derby and wanted it more, we had a clear plan and executed it. The full backs finally stayed wide in possession, makes a massive difference.
They are absolutely awful though. We made them look bad but my God, they’re dire

great team performance, if you cant be happy with that performance and the result, maybe football isnt for you
we controlled the game, always looked the better side, our players were well up for it, 1st to most balls, tackles flying in, desire & passion
Ive read on here it was a poor Jacks side, maybe, just maybe we made them look poor

They are not very good, we made them look utter crap, it was a very good performance and most players played their part, well deserved easy win against little old Swansea town with a clueless manager.

Been so long since we’ve been able to say that, outplayed and overrun them in midfield…..love it.

Alnwick, Collins, McGuinness, Siopis and Ramsay were all superb. The spine of a good team there.
I thought our front 3 were dreadful first half, but Meite and Grant were good in the second.

Anyone see the little girl mascot who shock hands with all the Cardiff players and then put her hands behind her back when she got to the Swansea players. Good girl!

You're spot on with that observation Adrian. With the addition of Panzo whom I think will be a regular alongside McGuiness soon, and the possible inclusion of O'Dowda, I think we've got the best part of a solid team. With a couple of quality signings in January maybe at right back and striker, we could be going places.

Funny isn’t it, Sky said he was brilliant, others on here said awful.
I think the truth is somewhere in between

With Meite and Grant it was as if Bulut said to them at half time they've got the wide centre backs on toast which resulted in them skinning them time and again in the second half.
