The more experienced players showed little stomach for the fight and, in too many cases, were much worse than their reputation suggested they'd be, but the likes of Colwill and Robertson especially faded as relegation became a reality rather than a possibility and I think they've both played enough senior football now to be considered differently than, say, Ashford or even Tanner, who are still making their way in the game.
You know my thoughts on these players! They've got no bottle whatsoever. I think Fish showed something in the final few weeks which impressed me, and Chambers really tried (I know that should be a prerequisite but it isn't). We need to get rid of the bad apples and focus on developing the talent we have. Also, pace. Please sign some bloody pace :hehe:

Can we please not turn this into yet another thread about the pros and cons of Rubin Colwill?

Where have I talked about his pros and cons?
Fair play to you though, I bet that was the absolute highlight of your evening. Your week, even.

You brought him up, not me. Do as I say, not as I as I do, etc...
Fair play to you though, that's a bet you'd absolutely lose.
Re: The Transfer Rumour Thread
The transfer window opens on Sunday, but only until 10th June. Then it opens again from 16th June to 7pm on 1st September.
Weird this year because of the Club World Cup.

Hope we don’t lose any of our stars to any of the participants.

See, I'm not so sure. Having read your posts over a number of years, it's quite clear you genuinely enjoy correcting others in the most condescending way possible (typically over the most trivial of points). You regularly stir conflict by being pedantic or needlessly argumentative (which, by the way, usually ends up derailing threads - like this one). And this is just a hunch because, after all, I don't know you, but I get the strong feeling you take yourself - and this board - way too seriously.
So be honest. Stumbling across the opportunity to showcase all of these traits in one childish little comment must have really got the juices going, especially after getting so rattled over absolutely nothing in the other thread.
Unless you won the lottery or got a blowie from Sofia Vergara last night, I'd say my chances are still pretty good.

So what are the chances of us signing, or selling, someone before 10 June?

All the deals are already arranged ages ago, they just wait until deadline day to announce them as it's more dramatic that way.

No doubt. The excitement is mounting...

I am. You're way off the mark, as you are with your personal observations. Anyone who actually knows me can tell you that. If you think I take this board way too seriously, I think you might be taking this board far too seriously.
Kind of ironic (and funny) that you've described my post as a 'childish little comment' when I was merely cutting and pasting exactly what you'd written to me in the other thread. Rattled? Sure, I get really rattled when anonymous contributors tell me what I can and can't post on a football message board. It upsets me deeply.
:hehe:

That didn't last long.

I thought woodman was a good goalkeeper at this level, and was a bit of a coup for Preston to get him, but none of them seem at all disappointed to be losing him
