Much as I like Robinson he unfortunately looked like a relic of last season’s woes. As for Willock, will we eventually play a team so bad that he looks half decent?

Robinson doesn't look interested

After the two home games Robinson's done a solo mini lap of the pitch before disappearing down the tunnel while the rest of the players were still out on the field. That's looked odd on both occasions.

I wouldn't be too quick to write him off (Robinson), he's still a quality player.
he's had a few substitute appearances - a total of 60 minutes of league football.
and while he hasn't scored yet he is still getting chances.
he had 3 shots in his 27 minutes last night, which is as many as anyone else achieved in the whole game.

I'd say yes, definitely to both.
At one point last night I thought to myself that he looked like an excellent League One player, outstanding and a cut above. I watched the weekend’s Championship highlights and found myself admiring the play of a few of the players, players I’d not really heard of, and wondered if Colwill was as good as them (or are they in better teams that allowed them to perform).

Would love to get NYC Blue's thoughts on the match

For me it's early days, difficult to judge our promotion credentials until games like this Saturday coming up. Because we have a distinctive style of play I think sides are going to be able to prepare for us and set up to get numbers behind the ball. We're going to have to be more inventive around opposition's penalty box, and yes, this is a wafer thin squad and 3 quality signings are the absolute minimum I'd say.

Probably still thinks he’s too good for the league he finds himself in, a bit like the last few years….quite bizarre

We need another lumbering giant, as BBMs tactics are to use the width and get crosses in.
Which makes it all the weirder we got rid of two we already had in Simic and Etete.

Yet to see much evidence Roko Simic actually exists

Are you being serious?
lumber (v) :
'to move slowly and awkwardly'
We've had our share of ineffective lumbering forwards.

He's started three games for Karlsruhe in Bundesliga 2 and the German Cup this season.
He's out there somewhere...

By the way, one of the three games he's played for Karlsruhe this season was at Hertha Berlin. He started and played 66 minutes in a 0-0 draw. The crowd was 59,655 - a few more than were watching him when he was playing in our under-21's.
:hehe:

I know some are concentrating on the fact that for all our possession we are not really punishing teams but the fact that we’ve got points on the board already, with a squad which is light in certain departments, surely that gives us confidence that with a few additions we can challenge strongly for an automatic spot this season?,I’m optimistic going forward, with the caveat that we must bring a bit of pace out wide and some experience to shore up the defence until at least January.

As a back up for Salech, I think he would do a good job. Helps us get promotion then goes to another league One club
