Expect to see Aaron Ramsey named in Wales squad tomorrow according to some
think its a backward step if true
another reason why the selection of Ramsey is strange . the time line for next week (UK timings )
Mon 2am: Pumas UNAM v Guadalajara.
Tues am: Arrives Wales camp.
Thurs 7.45pm: England v Wales.
I suppose he could in theory make the Wales camp for Tuesday morning should he fly straight after the game on Sunday night, seems very unnecessary though to be rushing like that for a friendly. That said, I also struggle to believe he's shlepping back to not be playing in one the games, so I'll have to assume he's going to be on the bench for Belgium having been told he's likely to feature.
Either that or the FAW are just helping a mate have an official reason to come home and see family and friends :hehe:
Bad news for Wales on Daniel James. Expected to be out for 4-6 weeks after rolling ankle. Out of October games against England and Belgium and race against time for closing World Cup qualifiers in November
Darlow, Rodon & Ampadu starting for Leeds today, with Johnson & Davies on the bench for Spurs. In other games David Brooks captained high-flying Bournemouth to a 3-1 win over Fulham last night, while Wilson played for 67 minutes.
Neco Williams starting for Forest today against Newcastle. Let's hope he comes through unscathed.
You’ve mentioned 8 players in your last 2 posts who for me have to start. Add in form kiefer and Jordan James then you are looking for a defender to complete your 11 depending on whether you play Ben Davies at centre back or left back. No place for Cullen or Sheehan. Let’s see!!
"Ramsey a Wales injury doubt for England and Belgium" 😱

Davies and Rubin called up. Davies was told last week, Rubin over the weekend.

Also, think that's 5 Cardiff players in the squad now :hehe:
who's idea was this England friendly? it's going to be a disaster.
International friendlies in general in this day and age are a disaster to begin with, we had the right idea under Speed/Coleman when we'd just play shit nations for the rankings points when we had a window to fill.
You could maybe understand them 30 years ago where outside of qualifying for the Worlds and Euros the players never played together, now with the Nations League and all the other club competitions players are asked to do, surely a relic it would be much better getting shot of.
Does seem a bit of an unnecessary distraction a few days before the qualifier. We can't be playing much of a second string in it either, surely?
Yep, if you look at the other European teams playing friendlies its Romania v Moldova and Poland v New Zealand. Sure we could have played Poland or New Zealand but that would have been either an away game in Poland or paying them/NZ to come to Wales.
All things considered England probably made the most sense and allows an extra day of rest
