House Intelligence Committee Investigation Turns to John Kerry, State Department
The House Select Committee on Intelligence is now investigating former Secretary of State John F. Kerry’s possible role into the unverified dossier paid for by the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton Campaign, this reporter has learned. The dossier, assembled by a former British spy, laid the foundation for the FBI’s investigation into alleged collusion between President Trump and Russia and was the essential piece of evidence used by the FBI to get a warrant to spy on a former volunteer for the Trump campaign.
For more than a month, the committee has been in its second phase of investigations focused on former Obama State Department officials and their role in either transmitting information or using information provided by a former British spy and investigator Christopher Steele. Steele was hired by embattled research firm Fusion GPS, also under several congressional and Senate investigations.

DOJ Announces Fast and Furious Documents Withheld by Eric Holder Will Be Released
The Department of Justice announced Wednesday additional documents related to the Operation Fast and Furious scandal during the Obama administration will be released to the House Oversight Committee. The documents were previously withheld by Attorney General Eric Holder, who was voted in civil and criminal contempt of Congress for refusing to turn them over. President Obama invoked executive privilege in June 2012 to prevent their release just hours before the contempt vote was held.
“The Department of Justice under my watch is committed to transparency and the rule of law. This settlement agreement is an important step to make sure that the public finally receives all the facts related to Operation Fast and Furious,” Attorney General Jeff Sessions released in a statement.
The Department stated the document release is part of “the conditional settlement agreement, filed in federal court in Washington D.C.” and “would end six years of litigation arising out of the previous administration’s refusal to produce documents requested by the Committee.”

I read about Operation Wide Receiver which led to Operation Fast and Furious then realised it was not about Stormy Daniels welcoming Donald Trump. Silly me!

This could have some bearing on Holder running for president in 2020.

General Michael Flynn, FBI Special Agent Peter Strzok, FBI attorney Lisa Page and U.S. District Court Judge Rudolph Contreras.
Newly redacted text messages discovered by congressional investigators reveal that an embattled FBI agent at the center of the Russia investigation controversy was close friends with a District of Columbia judge who recused himself from the criminal case over former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn, congressional members said, and text documents show.

Shame that every other major news organisation is MIA, as I have never particularly liked Fox News, but that is no excuse for you to continually shoot the messengers! The main protagonists are being taken down one by one, so there is definitely something going on :sherlock:

They seem to be on the ball regarding this single issue though, so those with an open mind will have an advantage in this particular case

Cyril, you and lardy have gone quiet lately, I hope everything is ok?
Well, got some news for you, the storm is going to be ramping up soon. All sides are changing gears, so we are going to be in for some rough and unpredictable weather!

DoJ on Hse Judiciary Cmte's subpoenas: We are individually reviewing the remaining documents to ensure that they do not include grand jury information, information about ongoing law enforcement actions involving American citizens, or privileged attorney-client communications.

^^^^ The certain US person mentioned in the OIG press briefing above is Carter Page. This is where it starts to get interesting, as things are moving up to the next level.

Don't you mean UCE-1?
And there was I thinking that Trump had a twitter hissy fit that Sessions was giving this to the OIG instead of appointing a Special Counsel. If this is the next level then the grass is quite thick and tall on the stairs!

The DOJ OIG guy may be working with a federal prosecuter from outside of DC, so if that is true he will have already empanelled his own Grand Jury. You will probably have noted that the initial brief of the OIG was to investigate the Clinton email server scandal, and anything arising from it, so how did we get to the Carter Page FISA warrants from that?
Anyway, we all know how it is going to end, since I predicted the outcome a year ago. Still it's an intriguing story full of twists and turns, and I don't think we are anywhere near done yet. Bigger than Watergate? You bet!

There is no mystery how you got to Carter Page. Nunes produces his skunkworks, Fox and "friends" cry foul. Donny tweets, Sessions jumps. Only this time he decided not to jump as high as Donny and the gang demanded. Hence the squeals. The OIG is the least that Sessions could have done given the pressure on him so I would not take 2+2 and make 101 which is your usual modus operandi!

I'm doing ok, I'm just missing the Awans for a full-house, but I'm sure they will come good eventually! Everything else is a wrap, so just sit back and enjoy as you watch it all unfold. Of course you are going to kick yourself in the process, though hopefully you will learn something

The Federal prosecutor has been named by AG Sessions as John Huber from Utah.

We'll Mueller did request that the court to make an example of him, otherwise he may have been sentenced to two weeks in Disneyland

Walls are closing in on Manafort. It is a question whether he is more afraid of Special Agents or Nerve Agents I guess?
