I’d imagine the delay could be down to our preferred candidates holding out for something better - Buckingham is apparently wanted by Plymouth whilst the Bristol City job is likely to be available soon.

Also, with the club talking of their desire to integrate Academy graduates into the first team, does Nathan Jones have any history of promoting youth into the senior side? I'd doubt Nathan Jones would have applied while involved in a promotion play off, and now Charlton are up, why would he drop down a league ? True, he's a City fan and obviously has an affinity to the area but he knows that it a couple of years he could be living in Huddersfield. I doubt it's Ramsey either. My guess is it's someone a bit more high profile who wants his own team around him.Quote:
