Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
A win in midweek in the cursed orange kit and today a 4-2 victory for the U18s over Wigan, who were 11 points clear at the top of the northern section. A smart result.

Was that Colwill's brother on the bench?

Yes, involved for the first time with under 18s - Joel’s his name.

However, the sixteen year old is back for today's match at Crewe - turned out he had an operation following an ankle injury in December.
scored a good goal.today apparently

He was taken off at half time in his comeback match at Crewe last weekend and when he wasn’t in the squad for the match at Millwall in midweek, I was thinking he’d had a recurrence.
There was a Wales Online article recently saying that Ashford would be featuring for the under 23s next season.
Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
We should get a good idea as to whether we’ll see any youngsters in tomorrow’s squad from the Under 23 team selected for tonight’s game at Nottingham Forest - kick off is at 7, not sure if it’s being streamed or not.
Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
Three trialists in the squad tonight, Tomlin plays and a first Under 23s appearance for Under 16 forward Cian Ashford.
Looks like Colwill will be the only youngster involved tomorrow.

Keiron Evans and Isaak Davies got the goals - both of them deserve to have some first team football in the next couple of weeks or so.
The Under 18s. who have scored eight in winning their last two matches, are at Sheffield Wednesday this afternoon, kick off is at 2.

Danny Gabbidon agrees with you about Isaak Davies.

Be great to see some of the kids get a chance.
Fingers crossed for Isaak Davies and the others to get the opportunity.
Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
The Under 23s play their final home game of the season today against Coventry. Kick off is at one o clock and Coventry's website is saying that the match will be played at Cardiff City Stadium. In some ways, it will be more interesting to see who isn't in the team rather than who is, because that may suggest who will be involved at Birmingham - on the other hand, with no midweek match for the seniors this week, I suppose it's just as likely that they'll go with the normal side and the game will be see as an opportunity for some to try and play themselves into Saturday's squad.
Also. news that a City player may be going to the Olympics.

Is Evans playing at full back?

That'll be interesting - perhaps its an attacking wing back
No Tomlin - I he going to play for the first team?
Harris and Watters both play, as does Isaak Davies
Difficult to see how they'll line up
No sign of that Bakere who we signed since we signed him either
Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
Evans is playing right wing back and he's just provided an assists for Mark Harris to score with a header = lovely move involving Bowen, Davies and then Evans.
Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
1-1, penalty given away by the trialist keeper.
Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
2-1 to Coventry, dozy defending by Dan Martin I'm afraid.
Re: The Bluebirds Academy and DVP thread...
4 - 1 to Coventry (70 minutes).
Our trialist keeper isn't impressing (but not helped by what's going on in front of him either).
