Re: FT: BLACKBURN ROVERS 1 - 0 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
i been calling for a stampede on the city like trump since before xmas, all the sla tragic drama and embargo, im done with hudson...
any other club would be gathering a rally now, we did it and made some noise when they tried to turn us red, now they are just letting us freefall... players wont give a hoot, some of them wont be playing here when we drop out...
actually like when we hit the prem i couldnt wait to drop back down to start actually winning games again, same now in L1 we might win a few and even take the div by storm, will give us something to shout about again

Re: FT: BLACKBURN ROVERS 1 - 0 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Blackburn had lost 4 out of their previous 5 games , they were completely out of form , as were QPR and Blackpool yet we couldn’t win any of them . We’ll be in even bigger trouble when we hit a side in form!

Very true! Look how far we've sunk since we got relegated with parachute money in 2019.
We had an opportunity to build back better but squandered everything and replaced any lingering quality with dross. It's both tragic and criminal we've fallen back so very far.

It papered over the cracks big time.
A promotion engineered by Warnock, probably the closest thing you'll get to a Manager /Director of Football hybrid was all that brought that promotion and subsequent parachute payments. We squandered it.
Now we are working on a level playing field with other teams our ineptitude is being laid out for all to see.

Apart from Glatzel, who he tried wrongly as a target man.

So we were 14th then

So picking an extra centre back for the team that's desperate for goals but pretty tight at the back didn't work then.
Shambles on and off the pitch. It's torture supporting Cardiff City at the moment.
324 minutes now without even looking like scoring a goal.

having parachute money and being 14th and not having invested in any players that will be any use in the future is absolutely terrible. inexcusable.
far worse than the current squad being 20th or whatever

Re: FT: BLACKBURN ROVERS 1 - 0 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Is anybody surprised that a man who has 4 games managerial experience prior to taking the City job and losing them all is doing so badly?
His stint here is actually more successful than he experienced previously.
He gets no other job than here and under the current regime. Nobody else would have considered him seriously.
Great player in his time for us but he was never going to be what was needed here.

This should have been addressed after Warnock left. Harris was the first cheap appointment and it steadily got worse after that.

Yeah. Definitely.
It is unforgivable that a club of our standing in the Championship think that Morison and Hudson successively is in any way good enough for this level too.
If they were a bad board who learnt from mistakes it would be some cause for optimism. Their decisions, in terms of the manager and otherwise, seem to be getting progressively worse.

Exactly.
Harris was symptomatic of this whole malaise: cheap, uninspired and rubbish.

Re: FT: BLACKBURN ROVERS 1 - 0 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
The players are just not good enough, plus, we have gone backwards under Hudson. We need some quality signings and a new manager who can get the best out of the players we have, sadly I don't see either of those things happening.

Genuinely each manager has got progressively worse. Tan is incapable of making good decisions. We signed 17 players in the summer, 5 started today. It’s an absolute joke. The squad is dire, it’s worse than the one Morison inherited which is some achievement. At least you could put it on Morrison’s, Flint’s or Moore’s head and we’d score. We don’t even have that now. Gavin Whyte wasn’t good enough to be in the squad 18 months ago, now he’s starting games regularly. Relegation is going to be an inevitability soon, especially if we can’t sign players.
Behind the scenes, the club is a complete mess. The recruitment has been a shambles, the squad is far too big, we are in the same mess with even worse players than last season, and fans are leaving in their droves. It’s ok, at least Barry Town’s manager has come to run the academy.

Yes, like on Hoillett, Bamba and NML…..

I agree. We needed new players this window.
We are now relying on Davies , Colwill coming good 2nd half of the season plus Morrison coming back.
The current squad isnt getting out of this.

Re: FT: BLACKBURN ROVERS 1 - 0 CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
As it stands we've probably got the weakest squad we've had under Tan, are under an embargo and probably (at this moment) have the worst manager we've had.
That is ignoring those above the manager.
It is beyond depressing.
