rumoured by the same people who said he was definitely going to a Croatian club earlier in the week?

Different rumour-mongers I think 😁

Roko Simic is set to confirm a loan move to Karlsruher SC.
Simic has reportedly already passed his medical and everything's ready for him to join the Bundesliga side

Looked a promising player in patches but fell off badly in the second half of the season.

He is a very talented and promising player, but as you say selling him for £3m-£4m would be good business.
I'm guessing, though, that Portsmouth would be hoping to steal him for less than we paid. There will be an assumption (misaprehension?) that a relegated team is under pressure to sell.

He desperately needs a season at this level

Re: The Transfer Rumour Thread
Some changes to the backroom staff according to Glen Williams:
"Cardiff City head of performance Jonny Northeast has left the club to pursue an opportunity in Turkey.
Another member of the first-team staff gone. Club working on getting another coach in to bolster Brian Barry-Murphy’s back room staff - hopefully movement on that next week."
-
Re: The Transfer Rumour Thread
So Northeast has gone south then?
-
Re: The Transfer Rumour Thread
We've been linked to this player on social media - his contract with Everton runs out tomorrow.
https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/matt...spieler/922700
Doesn't have a Wikipedia page it seems despite him having come on as a sub in a Premier League game apparently.

Yep, our kind of signing, straight on the treatment table

I'd have thought a young midfielder is the last thing we need to sign. Other than J.Colwill and King hoping for game time we have Twose, Perrett and Mafico.
It would be a strange signing

He's promising but not really shown that he can play at Championship level consistently

Something tells me we’ll be seeing more of these stories next season…
https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/...e-31297751.amp
Thankfully, Jonny Northeast has left his position as Head of Physical Performance  but it would be good to get some spotlight on Chris Lewis and Liam Donovan this season. They’re the first team physios and I’d be interested in the types of individual programs they have for the players because last year wasn’t right.

Certainly seems to be another area the club needs to improve.

Honestly, I wouldn't describe him as being very talented. There was nothing he did during the season to make me think that way. He needs to do better

Re: The Transfer Rumour Thread
Season starts in just over a month, will fly by.
Not even any decent rumours these days.

Re: The Transfer Rumour Thread
Apter one of "up to three" additions to the U21s squad to be announced tomorrow according to WOL.

Re: The Transfer Rumour Thread
A lot of League One sides signing goalkeepers!
Ravizzoli to Blackpool
Van Sas to Wycombe
Amissah to Burton
Marosi to Port Vale
Bass to Peterborough
Cann to Rotherham
Cahill to Orient
Cooper to Barnsley
Roberts to Mansfield
Fitzsimons to Northampton

Does that mean ten League One goalkeepers looking for a new club?

Re: The Transfer Rumour Thread
The club website's been updated with the current 1st team squad. Kpakio, Lawlor, Mafico and Nyakuhwa all there rather than u21s now.
Tsunoda, King, Wintle and Etete all back as well, for now at least.
No sign of Joel Colwill anywhere. Probably just an oversight.

Joel is on my list, directly from the club site
He’s on there as well, next to Wintle

Ah yes, he is. Either he wasn't earlier and he's been added or I'm an idiot - take your pick 😁

That was an interesting analysis and discussion of possible summer window outcomes. When he talks about possible signings and he threw out Josh Wilson-Esbrand's name - as someone Brian Barry-Murphy would know from the Man City Academy - he didn't say that he had already played for us. A rare slip in an otherwise really good clip.

Amissah is a great keeper name but terrible for a striker

Another keeper signed: Bishop to Wimbledon.
But even better news - Wimbledon have signed (from Fulham) a midfielder called Delano McCoy-Splatt!
(Eat your heart out, Jazzi Barnum Bobb).

Wish we’d have signed him, my new moniker would have to be Splatt Porker:thumbup:
