Joel Colwill’s last minute goal gets the under 21s a 2-2 draw at Burnley, while the Coventry under 18 keeper has equalised deep into stoppage time in a game where Dan Ola had given us a 3-1 lead - the game’s just finished, so City will be without a league win at senior, under 21 and under 18 level when we kick off against Sheffield Wednesday.

2 o clock kick off today for the under 21s game at Cardiff City Stadium against Barnsley. Free entrance to the ground and the game is being streamed as well.
Dozy first half from the under 21s. Barnsley should be a couple of goals ahead against a team that have not threatened at all, but it’s still 0-0. It is a very young side though with Semenyo possibly the oldest player in the starting eleven. Ashford is, understandably, playing as if this is an anti climax for him following Tuesday night.
Right at the start of the second half, City put their first decent move together and good work from Twose and Wigley sets up Ashford who does well to score.
1-1, scrappy goal for Barnsley from a corner.
Much better second half by City as they recorded their first win of the season thanks to a goal five minutes from time by Cook with a header from an Ashford corner.
Ashford looks a talent, easy to forget he's still only 18
He was the difference today, not greatly involved in the first half, but the best player on the pitch in the second half. Was surprised and impressed by his mobility, he was running past players from midfield in the last five minutes - add that to his basic talent and he has to have a good chance of making it.
Also impressed by the keeper Dennis, Beecher, Twose and Spiers who came on for the second half.
Dennis made a very good save in the first half
Felt like Ashford was the one most likely to make the difference first half. as well even if he was quiter Wasn't Beecher part of the Wales u17 Euros squad with Lawlor & Giles? Shows just how young that defence was today. They have plenty of time ahead of them to develop
Charlie Wellens, who had a trial with us, then looked like he was going to Reading, then was rumoured to be signing for us, has signed for Reading.

They've finally updated the squad list on the official site - poor old Vontae doesn't even get a new shirt!
Edit: Maybe he was sorting out a move when they had the photocall.
U18s 3-1 to the jacks at HT. Dan Ola with our goal.
Finished 4-2. Will Spiers scored our 2nd with a penalty.
What will be an under strength City under 21 team play at Sheffield United this lunchtime - the game is being streamed live on the home team's You Tube channel.

Getting slaughtered 3-0
3-0 down after fifteen minutes - Vontae Campbell and James Crole are playing, but it’s a team with a lot of first year scholars starting against a side that has won its first three games and scored fourteen times in doing so.
HT 3-1
Well worked goal that 3-2 now
5-2 now
Full time 6-2
Rubin Colwill & Eli King start for Wales u21s out in Lithuania

Luke Harrisputs Wales 1-0 up after half an hour.
1-0 to Wales at half time, not much of a game - it’s one of those where there doesn’t seem to be any room on the pitch. Lithuania had a goal disallowed just before half time for offside, the commentators were saying it was very close, but it looked to me as if the linesman got it right.
Both City players pretty anonymous although Colwill played a part in the creation of the goal.
Colwill lays on a second goal, scored by Fin Stevens, in the first minute of the second half.
3-0, Joel Cotterill from twenty five yards.
The under 21s doing a Welsh rugby team impression by letting in two goals in added time - they’ve just stopped playing.
Finished 3-2.

He’s a Pontypridd boy
Best of luck to him
The u21’s signed Malachi Fagan-Walcott yesterday from Spurs

Sheffield United won 2-1,Troy Perrett got a goal back in the second half, but they couldn’t come back from their 2-0half time deficit - it’s not been the best of starts to the season for the under 18s.
The u18’s are playing Bournemouth in a cup competition this afternoon
It’s a 12-30 kick off at the new training centre in Llanrumney
So anyone up that neck of the woods pop along ⚽️👍
