Match facts
- Cardiff have lost just two of their last 13 home league games against Villa (W8 D3), keeping clean sheets on eight occasions including each of the last two.
- Aston Villa have won seven of the last 10 league encounters with the Bluebirds (D1 L2), although they lost on their last visit to Cardiff.
- Steve Bruce has won nine of his 11 previous managerial meetings with Neil Warnock, but his only defeat came in their most recent game, with Villa losing 1-0 to Cardiff in January.
- Kenneth Zohore has scored 12 Championship goals in 2017 - only Chris Wood (17), Yann Kermorgant and Lasse Vibe (both 13) have scored more.
- Neil Warnock has won only two of his managerial clashes against Aston Villa in all competitions (W2 D4 L5).
- Only Ipswich (16) have drawn more games in the Championship since the start of last season than Aston Villa (15).
Yes I was thinking that we have a pretty good home record against them. Long may it continue.
Bring it on. Whenever i hear the Villa chant it reminds of the old Gary Oldman film "the firm"

Great days
My team for tomorrow:
Ethridge
Manga
Morrison
Bamba
Bennett
Gunnarson
Damour
Mendez Laing
Tomlin
Ward
Zohore
These are the sort of fixtures that make the championship fantastic. Perfectly winnable game against a big big club, recently relegated with a big away following.
Kennedy has posted a picture on installation so he will be in the squad, may even start. Warnock will not make many, if any changes from last week, keeping things very tight early doors and bringing on pacier players last half hour.
The rallying call from Warnock seems to have worked the ground looks pretty full on E-Ticketing. Should be a cracker.
If Warnock decides to go 4 at the back:
Etheridge
Peltier Bamba Morrison Bennett
Gunnar Ralls
NML Tomlin Ward
Zohore
Subs:
Murphy, Manga, Richards, Halford, Damour, Kennedy, Hoilett
I think that team could give Villa a hell of a load of problems. Kennedy or Hoilett coming on in the second half to take down a tiring Hutton/Taylor could provide more havoc.
Butterflies in my belly this morning, can mean only one thing, come on you BLOOOOOOOOBIRDS
It's an interesting match up, for sure. Looking forward to seeing the new lineup for the first time and how they all link up. We've got pace in several areas now, which bodes well. Excited about the match today. Come on City!
I predict we will do slightly better than expected.
