I have to add this - Yesterday, my daughter asked me if we had any spinach, and we ended up having a conversation about Popeye the Sailorman, and his love for the stuff. I even told her about him squeezing the can until the spinach popped out. And there he is, in an advert gracing the post above mine. How weird is that?

 I thought Forest was too.
It's a match we must win, or we can forget about our slim chance of a playoff place.

Re: SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
		We play at 5:30pm tomorrow

 Before that we have

 Middlesbrough v Watford 12:30
 Blackburn v Bournemouth 3pm
 Reading v Derby 3pm
 Luton v Barnsley 3pm

 Table currently

 5th Barnsley 65pts
 6th Reading 63
 7th Bournemouth 62
 8th Cardiff 58
 9th Middlesbrough 56

Best case scenario we end the day just two points off the play off places. Worse case we are 8 points away.

Re: SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Have to be careful with this one. Their very recent form has improved under Darren Moore (beat Barnsley, drew Huddersfield and only lost 1-0 to Watford) and they have some decent players - Bannan, Rhodes, Reach, Harris, Windass and yes, Paterson.

I’d expect MM to get an improved performance with a number of changes to the starting 11 today.

We need to freshen our line up. Give Max Watters and Jonny Williams a chance.

Watters must be rueing the day he signed for us (footballing wise - not in his wallet) as he's been almost totally overlooked. Not even getting off the bench on Friday when we needed a goal.

Re: SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Their decent recent form is encouraging for us as we struggle to break down opposition who favour a defensive setup.

Get an early, or at least the first, goal and we should win.

Forget the defensive lineup Mick, time to let the shackles off.
We have nothing to lose from now on and if we are to make a challenge we must have a different mental approach and must start now.

I'm going for SW 1-3 City.

 Ah bollocks!
Boro had an unsrprising 34% possession and one shot up til then and not on target.

Watford have been less than convincing recently, let's hope for a late winner from them (Watford that is!)

Watford will go 12 points clear if they win. You'd think they'd liven up a bit.

Boro didnt exactly appear in a rush to get on with it either at the end. Odd considering they needed to win.

I think players are just knackered and with no fans to get them on the result can be quite sterile games.
Roll on next season. Hopefully players will have had a good break and some fans will be allowed back in stadia.

Re: SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
		Barnsley and Bournemouth both winning.

At the bottom Wycombe are 2 up at Rotherham meaning Sheff Weds are now bottom of the live table.

Updated: Reading now winning as well.
