10 point deduction for Everton

Re: 10 point deduction for Everton
Unlike the last few seasons, I think they’ll be able to cope with a ten point deduction this time around in the unlikely event of any appeal failing.

I would love to see them relegated
They were the main instigators of the Premier league the greedy gits

Re: 10 point deduction for Everton
They always pick on the small clubs

He may well keep them up but I certainly hopes he doesn't

Spoke like a true Liverpool fan. You can’t hide it forever Sludgey.

Re: 10 point deduction for Everton
Everton have a cracking looking stadium being built. The huge terrace behind the goal looks to have a really steep incline, making the fans feel like they're on top of the pitch.

I would relegate all the big clubs if I was in charge

Re: 10 point deduction for Everton
But then we'd get promoted to the Premier league and y0u'd have to start slagging us off! Oh hang on............

Even with the ten points deduction they can still easily pass Sheff, Luton and Bournemouth and probably quite a few more. They've won three and drawn one of the last five, they are finding form.

Re: 10 point deduction for Everton
It's almost as if they waited til huge club Everton stabilised on the football field before taking action.
That would mean that the league is corrupt though so shirley not :sherlock:

Re: 10 point deduction for Everton
I think they’ll appeal and they will aim to drag every other club, they can get any figures on, into the argument. Citeh and Chelsea being the two most prominent
This could go off like the holy hand grenade of Antioch

Man City are already in trouble. Everton had one charge or transgression to face. Man City are facing over 100 charges of rule breaking.
If guilty, Man City have to be relegated and possibly have their titles retrospectively taken away.

The Citeh case backed by big Saudi money will not be easily resolved

For Man City though, give their vast expanse of riches relegation simply isn't enough. Relegation and barred from re-entry to the Premier League or Europe for a good 5 years would be fitting. They'd lose their squad over night, that is then a punishment.

Re: 10 point deduction for Everton
Everton have avoided relegation while breaking financial rules. Man City and Chelsea have won English and European Championships. Are their titles going to be rescinded? Will there be an asterisk next to their name in the history books? Probably not.

It's happened before with Marseille and Juventus. But chances are - nope.

Exactly, they’ll just get a rap on the knuckles.

Re: 10 point deduction for Everton
I reckon they’re all at it, clubs wary of blowing the whistle on others due to their own indiscretions. We did so well in the transfer market recently despite being under an embargo yet it seems as though not one rival has raised a question. It’s been alluded to on this thread that Everton are quite capable this season of escaping, unlike previous seasons, it may be that the eventual outcome of the points deduction is no more than a rap on the knuckles.
