Massive Progress at the Club Under Bulut
says captain Joe Ralls
you can't argue much with that . A chance of a top 10 finish most would have bitten there hand off the start of the season after the disaster of last season.

"The only thing that's been lacking this season has been the consistency..."
Sure Joe, that's the only thing that has been lacking.

Not for the first 13 games with Rambo, Ugbo, and O'Dowda we weren't, and we desperately need a Striker.
Did you prefer the excitement of a relegation battle saved only by points deductions and Kaba's goals.

Re: Massive Progress at the Club Under Bulut
He doesn't say "at the club" like your title states though.
He is talking about on the pitch.
Your post insinuates things at the club are better..like an overall view...some of us would argue this is not the case

Post mentions creativity, we've scored more because of set piece goals, with nobody classes as creative.

Rambo was injured after 6 league games (don't remember him featuring in the cup games). O'Dowda only lasted 4 before injury.

Re: Massive Progress at the Club Under Bulut
We have made progress and some players like Ralls , NG , Collins , Goutas , Grant , Siopis ,Alnwick,Bowler many of whom are laons or free's , so for me yes progress has been made
Rambo, O'Dowda badly missed .
Don't see Colwill delivering much via 36 games this season .26 last season , you can't say he hasn't played under the current Mgr
Biggest feck up we have needed a centre forward since Moore stopped playing for us .

You have posted some pretty silly things on here over the years but this one takes the biscuit. This season in the league we have got more points, scored more goals, let fewer goals in, have a win percentage of over 42% (as opposed to 28%) and will finish at least ten places higher than we did last season. If you don’t think that is progress then really there is no hope for you. You have become so entrenched in your sea of negativity that you appear to have lost touch with reality.

Yes, they were influential during that time and for a short period following injury and improved confidence as performances and goals scored proved.
If they get fully fit I would expect results and performances to improve.

Well, they've proved time and time again that they're ITK.
What could it be?
Some new CDs for the PA system?
A new toilet paper supplier?
Visit Malaysia to be replaced by Go To Malaysia?

I'm not counting set pieces. As a creative attacking unit from open play we are worse than we have been for many a year.

I was thinking more of a takeover with all corner flags being embroidered with the initials SH and free ice creams for all or sheep's bollocks for dissenters

More goals and more points, it’s a good start.
If scoring this amount from set pieces was so easy everyone would be doing it as regularly as us, indeed we would have last season.

A while ago we'd almost scored double the amount of goals from set pieces as any other side in the Championship. That gap has narrowed.
In 2020/21 we scored 27 from open play.
In 2021/22 we scored 29 from open play.
In 2022/23 we scored 28 from open play.
This season we've scored 19. Only 4 teams across the 4 divisions have scored less from open play on average per game than us. That's embarrassing. That shows how utterly clueless we are when we attack. When goals from set pieces dry up, we lose games.
We might have to agree to disagree here, but if our main aim is hoping to score from set pieces because we're rubbish as an attacking force, I couldn't care less how many games we've managed to pinch, it's a fact that, without set pieces, we'd be in the bottom 3. That's how crap our football has been this season.

Football has been crap, far to negative and generally just poor but I don’t agree set pieces should just be written off though, it’s all part of the game. If you cant score in open player then you do what you can to win.
Wonder if teams struggling below us are having this debate of theu could be 11th if they scored more from set pieces lol.

We conceded fifty eight goals last season in the league and we’ve let in fifty four this time with six games to play - we’re on track to concede between three and five more goals than in 22/23.

Hudson all season and we'd have conceded less again and gone down, it's about balance.
I would guess we conceded a lot of those goals in the first thirteen games when were were more entertaining.
