Exactly the ref you'd hope we get for a critical local derby, wonderful
-
Re: BRISTOL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Isn’t he the ref that disallowed that goal at Blackburn ?

Oh God!

Re: BRISTOL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Are we due any of the injured players back?
If not presumably we would start with the same side?
Otherwise Daland in for Chambers is about the only change I'd make
-
Re: BRISTOL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
And at home to Coventry.
I think we won when he was in charge of us last season without any issues to be fair.

Re: BRISTOL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
If Daland has only one functioning leg I’d still bring him in over Chambers
In fact I’d bring back Jack Simpson over Chambers maybe even Gareth Abraham
El Ghazi needs a rest for a few months I’d put him on the bench where he can practice throwing his hands in the air and not covering back
Meite and Kanga who coincidentally sound like a dreadful funk soul act should be nowhere near the squad but they will be unfortunately
Wurzels 0 - Cardiff 3
GS Meite x 2 Kanga
MOTM Chambers

According to someone in the know on Twitter, Daland is fit and raring to go. He reckons he’s spoken to him. Let’s hope it’s true.

Great news if true
Chambers has had a very bad start, lets hope he can be ready next time he is needed, did anyone else notice he was fouled in the last minutes but for a good save they would have scored from the cross.

The referee gave a free kick, so the header would not have counted, good to see he saved it though

Bristol City are unbeaten at home since the beginning of March. The winning goal that day - a Perry Ng header from a corner.

We’ve won every game we’ve played this month, every one of them featured a Perry Ng header from a corner!!!

Re: BRISTOL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Riza wants the job again, O'Dowda, Siopis and Daland back for selection

Don't think Daland or Siopis will start. ODowda will though. Tanner had a nasty knock Tuesday.
Alnwick
Ng
Goutas
Chambers
Bagan
Robertson
Ralls
Colwill
ODowda
Robinson
ElGhazi

He got robbed on the byline, is that the ‘foul’ you mean? Of course it would have counted, Alnwick saved with his feet.

In fact, he sent off a Preston player to help us to a 2-1 win, but I’d still much prefer someone else - he’s an accident waiting to happen.

Fair enough I only saw it quickly, but to me it looked like he pushed him out of the way to get the ball, either way a good reaction save from Alnwick.

I would start Daland instead of Chambers, I hope he does, provided Dlaland really is ready.

Re: BRISTOL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Daaland has to play if he's fit.
I'd actually consider Bagan or Ng there if he's not.
-
Re: BRISTOL CITY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Chambers is not a right back or even a central defender. He can’t defend and his positional sense nearly always looks suspect.
I do however think that he might be able to play a role as a ball winning deeper midfielder… in fact I seem to remember him doing so quite effectively for Fulham in the Premier League.

Bagan shouldn't be anywhere near CB

Ideally he doesn't. But Chambers needs dropping. Bagan has been playing CB.
I'd actually play Ng cb and bring in Kpacio. But if Daaland is fit for the bench then he should start.
