Been on a few pod casts the last few days
If we did go down the figure of losing 7 to 8 million quid in revenue seems the figure being banded about
Without stating the obvious but does that figure ring true ?
thought it would be alot more

I looked at the accounts of a few championship teams and a few league one teams and I put the difference at around £6.5 million per season. based on TV money only.
there was an article recently that had it at at £7.5 million, so not far off.
we probably almost have that covered through senior players being out of contract and wage reductions in other players contracts kicking in.
Only Goutas, Rino, Ramsey, Ralls, Collins, AEG, Yak and Ralls are out of contract. I wouldn't keep any if we were to stay up bar Ralls.
We have about 20 senior pros that are under contract for next season, someone has got to want to take them off our hands. We've also got the amortisation problem. We won't be able to sell Daland, as we'll have to record a loss as we decided to spend £4m on him :hehe:. He'll be worth £3m in next years' accounts, so we can't afford to write that off.
I don't see why we wouldn't be able to keep hold of anyone we didn't want to sell
without stating the obvious but his signing was when Bulut was the manager !
Bulut has been very vocal about the transfer committee signing players under his regime if you choose to look
by the way where did you get 4 million from ? was an undisclosed fee at the time
is that fee out in the public domain ?
As it happens, Erol's fingerprints are all over this one
Bulut said: “We tried to get him in January, but it was not possible because the club would not let him go. He is a great defender, but also with the ball in the build-up, he will help us a lot.
“He can play from the left side and use both feet, which is very important for us. The fans will enjoy him.”
Interesting that you talk about Ralls in the capacity of 'Club Captain' and not team captain.
Team captain would require the player to be a nailed-on starter..Ralls rivals Ramsey in the injury-prone stakes. Another year older, and probably another yard slower.
I can envisage him picking up lots of yellow cards in his cameo appearances, simply because he would have to resort to grabbing the shirts of average players who just happen to have the pace to breeze past him.
Ralls' wages would be an issue too. Whilst I don't claim to be privy to how much he earns, I'd be surprised if he wasn't in the top percentage of earners.
I don't think there would need to be a fire sale, the players out of contract already would naturally reduce the wage bill by something very close to the drop in income.
the club have confirmed that some players have a relegation clause on their contract.
and in league one we don't have the same constraints on losses, so if tan wants he can just absorb any reduction
We might be able to sell a few.Loan a couple out as well..
The ones what are left I'd give them 2 weeks off then back in on the weights
Interestingly The Stevenage manager told Eli King he wasn't strong enough
