Re: Reasons to be excited?
The possibility of a takeover raises hope.
Will it happen who knows.
Re: Reasons to be excited?
I see another perfect storm brewing.
Tan umming and arring over a takeover so doesn't spend on new signings.
Takeover doesn't materialise we end up with little to no signings and the circus continues.

Think we're on the same page.
Re: Reasons to be excited?
It's the hope that gets you.
Re: Reasons to be excited?
The Bale statement is of zero interest, if it happens great, I’m not holding my breath.
BBM has just walked in the door, I don’t see us making any transfers soon (hope I’m wrong), I think his main activities will be loans from academies late in the window.
I’m excited that I think we’ll challenge this season and CCS will be an enjoyable place to be. I haven’t seen us win a home game (live) since Oct 23 when we beat the Wurzles
Re: Reasons to be excited?
If we play more youngsters then that'll be intriguing. If that works out then it might get exciting.

been saying that since 2000
Re: Reasons to be excited?
I am very much looking forward to preseason, just to see how we set up and play.

You must be a very slow talker. Didn't we play a fair few youngsters that year? Earnshaw, Evans, Gabbidon, Weston, Low, even Gavin Gordon. Maybe the last time we did something on that scale?
Re: Reasons to be excited?
The initial excitement of a double whammy of BBM and Bale is wearing thin. I’m concerned we’ve made no signings and have let a lot of players go.
If we’re counting on the character and backbone of the players that got us relegated last year then we’re ****ed.

Totally agree.
Hasn't only 1 member of coaching staff brought in as well.
Really doesn't look good at all atm.
I've read posts saying we've a good squad. We don't. We lack character , leaders and pace. Unless BBM is a genius coupled with 3 or 4 young players being brilliant we are going to struggle unless there's reinforcements on and off the pitch.
Sooner we are bought out and Tan gone the better.

00/01 season was great, we scored 95 goals.
Re: Reasons to be excited?
Im sure there's work going on in the background with regards to potential signings, but it that the same every season, that until an announcement is made, we dont know what's going on.
The lack of excitement for me is down to apparent failure to change any of the structure, so the feeling being that we'll just get more of the same.
Im prepared to be surprised though.

This is not copied and pasted and came completely off the top of my head.
While Murphy is primarily a surname of Irish origin, it is also used as a given name, including in Christian contexts. It is not specifically a Christian name, but it is a common name used by Christians and those of other or no religious affiliations. The name comes from the Irish surname Ó Murchadha, meaning "descendant of Murchadh," which itself is derived from the Gaelic name Murchadh, meaning "sea warrior".

Surely it's the other way around. Patronymic surnames such a O'Dowd, ap Rhys and Johnson were originally based on the given name of the father.

Do we really need to pass off ChatGPT content as our own posts on here?
Re: Reasons to be excited?
BBM must spend his evenings wondering what happens to him, if the Bale deal comes off.

I sarcastically insinuated that what I posted was off the top of my head. At no point did I seriously claim ownership.
