We played a friendly there in July 2007.
Robbie Fowler turned up, but did not play, having signed for us the week before.
Re-read the match details and noticed Anthony Pilkington scored against us.

Stockport lost 4-2 on the road to Plymouth in quite a surprise, as we thumped Plymouth 4-0 our previous game. Stockport, at their place, are going to be a lot tougher than Plymouth at the CCS though, they're well above dark horses and have the Wrexham effect of being a club on the rise. This is a game we've got to dig deep to win, but the Plymouth game gives me hope that three points is possible. This is also a game where even a tie is not a bad result either, but we should be looking to avoid defeat here as Stockport have looked vulnerable.

I doubt Kellyman will start, I suspect he won’t be match fit yet and they’ll ease him into the side. Besides Willock is in very good form at the moment so he will definitely start. I can see Osho starting , probably alongside Lawlor but if he starts for Wales again tomorrow against Canada maybe he’ll be rested and Fish plays instead

I would hope BBM has a word with Bellamy to ask him to give lawlor a break as he has played a lot of football so far already 🤔

Re: STOCKPORT COUNTY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Is Kellyman a winger? He's 6ft3. Think he's more a number 10.

Re: STOCKPORT COUNTY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Was this the one when someone swallowed their tongue and there was a big delay. Lot of City

Yeah, probably the right call regarding Kellyman, Willock should be rewarded for playing well past few games and Kellyman might not be fully ready to start. And you're right about Lawlor's start depending on if he plays vs Canada.

Not sure that BBM will want to break up the successful centre back pairing. I doubt Osho match fit either. Willock definitely start, not Kelly man.
We will win 3-0

Agree about not breaking up a successful partnership, but why wouldn’t Osho be match fit?
I thought he’d played for Auxere at the start of the season?

He last played on the 28th August, when he started the game against Nice.
However, the Auxerre goalkeeper was sent off late in first-half stoppage time, Osho had to be sacrificed to allow them to bring on a replacement 'keeper.
So yeah, he shouldn't be far off match fitness.

Thought you were going to say he went in goals. That other string to his bow would have been a very handy asset.

Per BBM interview R Colwill may not start Sat. I which case I'm not sure who his obvious replacement is. Cannot see Kellyman starting, but I assume Turnbull will, although he is not an obvious no10.

Re: STOCKPORT COUNTY v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
This will be the first league meeting between Stockport County and Cardiff City since March 2003 in the third tier, when the pair played out a 1-1 draw.
Cardiff City have lost just one of their last 11 league games against Stockport County (W3 D7), despite outscoring their opponents by just one goal across those 11 matches (16 for, 15 against).
Stockport have lost three of their last five league games when facing a side above them in the standings at kick off (W1 D1), as many defeats as across their prior such 22 matches before combined.
No side has kept more clean sheets in League One this season than Cardiff (5), with it the first time they’ve kept five across their opening six league games in a season in club history.

Big performance needed today. County will be well up for this after their drubbing last time.
