Just decided to look at the referee statics and according to the internet it is as follows
Referee Gavin Ward's record for Cardiff City across all competitions is a record of
17 matches in the Championship, resulting in 4 wins for Cardiff

apologises it should have read statistics not statics -

Re: WREXHAM v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
We're going to lose to both Newport and Wrexham in the same season aren't we?
F*cks sake

I feel we should probably take some of the blame for that terrible record though

1st in League One against 16th in the Championship. I fancy our chances. From the little bits I’ve seen of Wrexham and what I’ve read, they’re nothing too special.

4 wins in 17 is actually a better return than our 9 wins in 46 last season. Maybe he’s got a soft spot for Cardiff

And how did we play yesterday?
From all accounts on social media little ole Wrexham seem to think they’re something special these days….

I have not seen anything that suggests that... the Youtubers i have seen are pretty modest and realistic about their chances.
We should focus on our own clubs failings to dominate this league.

And then draw Swansea in the FA Cup and lose to them :hehe:

Re: WREXHAM v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
I was looking forward to this one, especially with a QF place at stake but after Saturday’s fiasco I just hope we don’t send the nation to sleep.

BBC on X is saying Willock is doubtful.

Re: WREXHAM v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
**** knows what team he's going to go with here, I just hope he takes this week as a chance to try something else.
2-1 City if he goes more direct with two strikers.
4-0 Wrexham if it's more of the same.

Re: WREXHAM v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
Any news on Bagan's injury?

Anyone actually excited for this game? I will be cock-a-hoop if we win of course but I'm struggling to muster up much enthusiam at the moment. Would rather we were playing someone else.

I thought it was an exciting draw initially, but since then we've seen results that have included the defeats to Burton, Bolton and Newport and the two ill-deserved victories over Orient and Reading. The only game we've acquitted ourselves well in was the win at Wigan a few days after the draw was made.
No doubt both managers will shuffle their packs this evening, so let's just hope for a bit of entertainment whatever the result. Saturday was not only a defeat but a pretty poor performance and a really boring game to watch. This evening's contest should surely be better than that.

Re: WREXHAM v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
SaturdayÂ’s effort may have been shrugged off as a useful point if we had gained a 0-0 but that late goal concentrated the mind to what an awful performance that was. If we had been under the cosh it could have been explained but we werenÂ’t, and much of the game we had it under control which made the approach utterly mystifying.
ItÂ’s taken the gloss off tonight I feel and I certainly hope we see better.

Even if we can put Saturday to one side, we haven't played well for a month now

like who? Swansea?

Re: WREXHAM v CARDIFF CITY. Match thread
I see this as an interesting match.. I don't believe either manager wants to lose (not caring about the cup). So. You have a switched position scenario and who will come out on top? I have read the "Red Passion" forum and they are very confident.

I'm pretty excited, not because it's Wrexham per se but because it's winnable and then we're two games from Wembley which would be amazing.

3 games no? QF and then home/away semis.
Long way to go before worrying about QF and semis but Wrexham was one of the most favourable draws possible so why not tentatively look ahead?

It is indeed three games, I thought they'd voted to scrap the two legged semis but their still there for the time being.
