I haven't watched her Christmas 'party political' broadcast since 1971 - but it would almost be worth tuning in if she was going to do the whole thing with a Lemsip in one hand and a used tissue in the other (and no - it isn't common to hold them that way round!)
Bloody train drivers.Quote:
BBC royal correspondent Nicholas Witchell said the Queen and Prince Philip normally took the train around 11am from Liverpool Street, but the delay was "no cause for concern".
Probably more concerned for the Duke's health.
Loads of celebrity deaths so far this year but all about to be trumped by a biggie.
Can't bare the Royals and wish they would step away from public life for good. If the Queen so much as sneezes the BBC will report on it, shameful.
hope to god she gets through this.
It really tugs at the heartstrings to learn that Liz and Phil have had to delay travelling from one palace to another of their palace's. Their predicament is heightened this near to Christmas because they're acutely aware that unless they arrive at Sandringham by this Saturday at the latest then it's highly likely that that gutsy Camilla will have scoffed most of the mince pies and half the sherry trifle.

Get well soon maaaaaam.
Hopefully she'll be back to full fitness soon so she can continue doing what she does best.
Waving and scowling.
Great news for fans of Her Majesty and her equally lovable husband: they have flown by helicopter to Sandringham. It's wonderful how far they can stretch their State Pension.
