Either commission a statue or pay the actual Whittingham to stand outside the stadium on a plinth. Give him a game boy or something.
This Friday will be ten years since his first appearance, coming off the bench in a 1-0 defeat to Southend at Ninian Park. The other subs that day were Luigi Glombard and Andrea Ferretti.
10 years.
That certainly means something these days.
Legend for sure, and still more to come.
Undoubted City legend. One of the clubs greatest of all time. Thanks Whitts!
Ah yes, the day 3 club legends were first revealed!
The Glombard and Ferretti years were amongst the proudest in club history. Giants amongst men. Players beyond peers. Where are these heroes now?

Whitts has been Fantastic servant to the club and some memorable goals .
I'll never forget Bellamy telling all the people booing whitts too " shhhhhhhhhhhh" after scored
One in four from midfield is outstanding and his goal against Barnsley must be in the top 3 alltime best City goals.
Great video of all his league and (league) cup goals.
9 mins long but well worth the watch, some absolute beauties in there.

My personal favourite is his 3rd goal in the 4-3 win over Sheff Utd, brilliant, fluid football and we've seen nothing like it since. Thankfully they show the entire goal in that vid.
Thanks Whitts for a decade of faithful service to CCFC.
Mucked about by managers at times but always kept his dignity
and his toys firmly in the pram.
Here's to you Peter Whittingham
City loves you more than you will know, oh oh oh
God bless you please Peter Whittingham
heaven holds a place for those that play, Hey hey hey! Hey hey hey"!
Heard it a few times but it's never really taken off. Nice time to get it going.
Not often a player will stay 10 years with a club and make an important contribution every single year. I would fully expect the club to make a highlights video for their youtube page and for pre-match entertainment for the next home game.
Whitts has been a fantastic player for this club - and in the 10 years he has been with Cardiff he has been the face of the team for most of the time - even when playing with Bellamy, Chops, SuperKev and the rest. Unfortunately the rise and (slight) fall of Whitts has mirrored the club as a whole.
There may never be another Peter Whittingham playing for Cardiff, but I am confident some other iconic figure will emerge to represent the team. The goals are brilliant, but what I love best about Whitts is the downbeat, self-depreciatory manner - the attachment to the club and city and and loyalty that is so rare nowadays.
Great player. Great achievement! :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
The club's best ever long serving player.
:ayatollah::ayatollah::ayatollah: Legend
10 years is rare these days
BUT Whitts has always put in a shift ( in his own way )
played a part of all 10 seasons, his goals have turned games
Cheers Whitts
Whitts is my favourite City player of all time. Just under 400 league games and over 80 league goals, magnificent achievement! His contract is up in the summer, the club should sort it out asap, he's definitely got a few more years in him yet.

0.28 possibly the best Whitts goal
He deserves a testimonial against Real Madrid
My hope would be that we play better than against Fulham!
The goals in that video would grace the career of any footballer. He has been at the heart of the best entertainment I have had watching Cardiff City. When he finally leaves us will be when we really appreciate what he brings to the side. The power and accuracy he can generate from that left peg is astonishing!
Our last two games, in which he has been absent, have summed up the Whittingham dilemma as he approaches his 33rd birthday - Aston Villa beaten by a team that worked harder than them while playing to a fairly rigid game plan and then a feeble FA Cup defeat where we were crying out for a bit of "magic" as we showed skill levels that would have embarrassed a League Two side.
There's a thread on the go about City legends and I reckon I've seen no more than five of them since 1963, but, although it may not sound like it at times judging by what I say about him, Whitts is one of them. I'm so pleased he made it to a decade's service to the club - who is there who could beat him for the award of Championship Player of the decade 2007 to 2017? I can't think of anyone.
Great vid.
Nice story on him from 2010..
Beware the shy assassin!
