Saw Maradona, George Best and Gerd Müller in the flesh.
Johan Cruyff for me.
Saw him completely dominate a game for Barcelona against Aston Villa in 1978 in the old UEFA cup.
Scored the opener and set up a second late on before being subbed with 10 minutes or so left. Villa promptly scored twice!
I forgot to mention that Leighton Phillips was one of the Villa players who completely failed to get anywhere near him on the night!Quote:

Well, being as I was stuck at Ninian Park in the late '60s and early '70s, it would have to be John Toshack, although I did see Rodney Marsh once in Toronto in the late '70s playing for someone against the old Toronto Blizzard. He scored a fine goal that night.
