Warnock comes across as a tory and a xenophobe
And a little Englander
Should keep his mouth shut on such matters , said he was an admirerer of may before , wouldn't be surprised if he was a udm Thatcher lover

Re: Warnock comes across as a tory and a xenophobe
Not a big surprise, he's 70, white and very wealthy.
He's generally pretty old school in his views as far as I can tell.

Re: Warnock comes across as a tory and a xenophobe
Absolutely nothing wrong with what he said, Sludge dont like it because he is a Corbyn and Abbott fan:shrug:

He comes across as out of touch ffs, you’d defend anyone if they were associated with Cardiff for a grown man it’s crazy how one eyed you are.

Re: Warnock comes across as a tory and a xenophobe
This is a democratic society. He has a right to his own views, perhaps he should be calling you out for being a liberal pervert.

How you deduce all that from what he has said/done in the last seven days is beyond me. Given his background (working class from a mining/heavy industrial city in Yorkshire) he is much more likely to be a left wing/Socialist supporter than anything else. As many, if not more, Labour suppporters want brexit and are anti-foreigner than Conservative ones. What difference does it make anyway, if we started vetting people who enter the area or worked for the club based on their political leanings or moral beliefs, the games would be held in a half empty stadium and particularly, your seat would definately be empty.

The OP has a copy of the Ladybird book of Politics. The above is a tad complex for him..

Why can’t people see it isn’t his views that have made him look a fool, it’s how empty of substance they were.
If he’d said why he thinks it’s a good idea to leave and why it’s affecting transfers or the club fair enough. The manager of a multi-national and extremely diverse company coming out with “to hell with the rest of the world” is beyond stupid.

What difference does it make if someone is “anti foreigner” are you for real?

To hell with the rest of the world is not a reasonable view for a football manager, owned by a Malaysian, where his CEO is a Malaysian, and his chairman is a Turkish Cypriot. He's allowed to back Brexit, he shouldn't say stuff the lot of you. It's really not that bloody hard.

I don't mind him having an opinion, but at least have an informed opinion, he sounded like a Cretin-Basically, what he said was that everyone can '****off' If we had taken that attitude historically, then we would all still be living in caves.

I wouldn't mind betting 50% secretly agree with his Brexit view .

Does he have a second job? Cardiff City is a small domestic business, not a multinational.
I'm not too bothered about it all really. Yes, it's a stupid thing to say but this is Neil Warnock and saying stupid things after poor results is his modus operandi. He's like a TalkSport shock jock without a radio show.

I like her , she's doing a great job is what he previously said of may........he clearly doesn't know his arse from his elbow

No one is castigating him for being pro brexit they’re are because his opinion was simplistic and stupid.

In your quest to discredit my post, you appear to have stumbled across my point and reinforced it. Thanks very much. It was the OP who accused NW of being a 'Xenophobe', as if there is something totally wrong with it and that such a person should not be managing our team. Perhaps you should direct your derision at him. Someones political beliefs and dislike of foreigners does not make any difference whatsoever in his ability to undertake the job at hand - there, we actually agree on something ! PS. Xenophobe means anti-foreigner, in case you didnt know.

It'll be more than 50%, as most of our fans will be white males. I don't think anyone has a problem with him supporting Brexit, I do have a problem with "to hell with the rest of the world". Having said that, he's always saying daft stuff so it'll blow over in a week or so. It's not like the media liked him in the first place, anyway.
-
Re: Warnock comes across as a tory and a xenophobe
I don’t think there’s a more xenophobic statement than “to hell with the rest of the world”
There is something wrong with being xenophobic, why would you dislike someone just for being born the other side of a man made border?
No ones saying it affects his ability as a football manager people are saying it makes him backwards. I think he’s done a great job and actually think people are a bit harsh on him considering where we are at this stage of the season.

I am confused now - you think Xenophobe is bad but anti-foreigner is OK ?
xenophobe
/ˈzɛnəfəʊb/Submit
noun
a person having a dislike of or prejudice against people from other countries.

His quote 'to hell with the rest of the world' was in relation to his Brexit comments and very likely referred to other people attitudes towards this Country, because of our temerity in actually voting to leave. Bearing in mind his close relationship with and mutual liking of, Choo, Dalman and Tan it is inconceivable that he could have the kind of relationship he actually has with them, whilst at the same time disliking them as much as some people seem to believe.

It was ridiculous thing to say whichever way you try to spin it.

That goes against any evidence I've ever seen on the subject

Re: Warnock comes across as a tory and a xenophobe
Are some of you not realizing what Warnock actually said, when he said to hell with the world, it was in the context of everyone everywhere not just in the uk, sticking their nose in the brexit debate, when they should keep their nose out, i guess you all missed the part when he said it maybe easier to sign players if and when we are out.
And Croesy I have a brain which i use, it has nothing to do with city why i am defending his right to speak what he believes, just because you say something does not make it a fact, so you should use what little brain you have, although I do not expect you will!

He’s speaking what he believes and it’s absolute vacuous nonsense that’s why everyone thinks he’s a bit of a berk.
The rest of the world couldn’t give a shit about brexit other than laughing at us. Outside of the EU council who just want us to get on with it.

Ah - but you didnt quote me or put a comma in, so no wonder I got confused. Anyway, if you think that anyone 'anti-foreigner' is a moron, then that means that you must think at least a quite large proportion of the population of the Country is moronic. Again, I dont see that whether NW is anti-foreigner or not (and I cant personally see how he can be, given his relationship with Choo, Dalman, Tan and the players) has anything whatsoever to do with his ability to manage the team.

I think anyone who is anti foreigner is a moron yeah. I don’t believe half the country is anti foreigner and I don’t believe everyone who voted for brexit is anti foreigner either.

What do you mean by 'everyone' - you and about 15 other people on this board ? If so, you have an inflated idea of your own importance.
