Probably my favourite funny man of all time, some of his witticisms still live on today. Two of my favourites..."I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member" and "Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read".

I'm not sure how true this is but apparently his daughter was refused membership of a swimming club. When told it was because she was Jewish, he said,"She is only half-Jewish, so can she go in up to her knees ?".
