Rob Edwards to Watford?
At least he will be able to get a proper burger there!

Easy job to be fair, either it works out or you are paid off quite quickly.

or both

Re: Rob Edwards to Watford?
Forest Green not very happy - apparently this has all been done behind their backs and Watford told Edwards not to tell anyone at Forest Green, otherwise they would break off negotiations. Nothing Watford do regarding managers surprises me any more.

Re: Rob Edwards to Watford?
Poor show by Watford.
I really like FGR... seems like a lovely club.

Ya, great club, giving fans no choice on what they want to eat.

I don’t eat any food at football grounds, but for fans that do, it would be nice to have a choice

They do have a choice.
I think you're suggesting that fans should have a choice of beef burgers and/or hot dogs on the menu too? Which isn't the same as not having a choice.

Hmm, food or sex....not a bad choice really.

Re: Rob Edwards to Watford?
At least Rob can at last grab a hearty beefy bake, and some sheep testicles when he comes to Cardiff .

That's a choice :hehe:
"What kind of vegan food do we serve?
Our vegan food changes each matchday weekend, based on locally sourced ingredients, but you can expect to see anything from our Q Pie with Quorn to vegan pizzas, fajitas, salads and sweet potato fries."
They've got a choice of different foods there. If they just did fajitas then I'd agree with you.

Isn't it poor show from Edwards as well in agreeing to do it behind his current employers back or am I misreading how this played out?

Instead of moaning about it having no meat I bought a bacon roll with my coffee in the garage around the corner.

Not surprised, with cheese on toast, beans, scrambled egg, waffles, fruit & syrup you’d need a dustbin lid:hehe:

its a no lose situation
do well, his stock rises as does his pay
do poorly, he Gets a pay-off and people say " Watford dont give managers a chance to turn things around "
-
Re: Rob Edwards to Watford?
Bad show by Watford. They should cop a fine for that sort of thing.

I suppose it depends what combo you had
They had these silly cardboard bowls. I never had any of it, the one pad in the van kept having scrambled eggs cheese and beans, they never seemed to have any bread.

I don’t think so. I wouldn’t call Dale Vince woke. He’s a vegan & a green but his background is colourful.

I wasn't talking particularly about the vegan food there but now you come to mention it...
Aye and what choice do we have at city..? expensive shit beer and over priced shit that hardly passes as 'meat'.
Are you on the Atkins diet?
If you can't do without shitty meat for 90 minutes once every two weeks, I think you need to give your head a wobble.

Because he's a vegan and has been a major innovator for green energy people call him woke.
Jeez, If he is woke I think i would rather be woke than a small minded c**t

I don’t eat anything at any football ground, as they cannot supply food to suit my diet

I never eat at the ground either - the choice is really poor.

Re: Rob Edwards to Watford?
Amazes me how selling food at a ground is profitable. It’s not something that I’d consider, I’m always sorted meal wise prior to going to the football. Everyone is different thought, I wonder if there are football food aficionados? Rating each ground etc

It amazes me how a thread about a managerial appointment derailed into a thread about food

I haven't eaten in a football ground for years but for those that would like to it would be nice to have a choice of meat or a veg based diet.
Eating at football is for wimps

Difficult for city this one... it must be profitable or they wouldn't do it - i mean it is shit food at high prices.
I am amazed that people eat at the ground when there are so many cafes and restaurants around the ground.
Last game I attended I had a lovely bit of food in chapter and it was very reasonable.
Not sure how the club can compete - also, I hate standing up eating so surely the club could create a few sit down restaurant places for those who want to sit and have a proper meal?

Someone on Sky said last night "it's a model that works for them". I'm almost speechless, because in a way they are right. But it is an awful model, regardless of how successful it is or isn't
