Villa vs Wolves - On Saturday 5:30pm
Im hoping for a wolves win on the weekend especially if we beat Birmingham. What s everyone else's preferred result?
Re: Villa vs Wolves - On Saturday 5:30pm
Draw.
If we manage to beat Birmingham (not guaranteed I'm afraid) we would gain two points on both of them.
Re: Villa vs Wolves - On Saturday 5:30pm
I've got £30 riding on a bet with a mate that City end up above Villa at the end of the season.
C'mon Wolves.

Wolves win. Definitely. The main objective is promotion.

Of course. But in this case a win for either side would benefit us. I know that Villa winning is ideal scenario but I’m sure their will be plenty in the pub Saturday evening cheering a wolves defeat.

The way things are going tonite it has to be a Wolves win.

Got to be now, 100% villa defeat.
Re: Villa vs Wolves - On Saturday 5:30pm
Now Wolves have won, no reason to want Villa to get anything. Catching Wolves is a pipedream. Finishing second is an orgasm.

6 point gap with Wolves still to play at CCS is a pipedream?
At the moment, since you're proclaimed Wolves as winners there are three teams going for one spot.
Drag Wolves back into it, then there are four teams going for two spots.
The latter scenario is the most preferable.

Not if we finish 3rd or below. We want to stay 2nd or higher. How is giving 3rd placed Villa more points any benefit to us?

It's in our own hands though. Beat Birmingham, Villa beat Wolves then the gap remains with one less game to play and Wolves are dragged back into it. With Wolves still to play at CCS, we could well be in prime position.

If it's in our hands we want to stay 2nd or higher, so it doesn't matter what Wolves do. If we slip up, it matters a whole lot more what Villa do. If we finish with more points than Villa and Fulham we will be promoted. Why the feck do you want to give them more points?
