I used to work in London with an Arsenal fan in the late '80s. We went to a few games together including the famous 2-1 wins at the 'Lane. He came to a few City games with me too and met all of my mates. Anyway, he got arrested for doing the wanker sign at St James' Park during an Arsenal game. He was out before half time, taken to the station, booked and had to go all the way back up to Newcastle to appear in court. I think he got fined 30 quid. I always wondered what would have happened if he didn't show up at court.
