Match facts
- Cardiff City are unbeaten in their last 15 games against Huddersfield in all competitions (W10 D5) since a 1-0 defeat in January 2003.
- Huddersfield have played seven away league matches at the Cardiff City Stadium without winning (D1 L6), with only Birmingham and Millwall (8 each) playing more without winning.
- Cardiff City have lost their last six home league matches – it is their longest ever home losing run in the Football League.
- Huddersfield Town have taken just four points from their last 11 away league matches in Wales (W1 D1 L9), losing 1-0 there this season against Swansea.
- Three of Huddersfield’s first six league goals this season came in the first half of games. Since then, just two of their 14 league goals have come in the opening 45 minutes.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v HUDDERSFIELD. Match thread
This has got nil nil written all over it.
Would take a scrambled own goal for a 1 nil win but I'm sure so would they.
Not bothered too much about records we need to go for the three points.
Come on the City! :ayatollah:

Re: CARDIFF CITY v HUDDERSFIELD. Match thread
Huddersfield have 12 different goal scorers this season. The most in the Championship.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v HUDDERSFIELD. Match thread
Gonna be positive and say we'll break our duck today: 1-3.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v HUDDERSFIELD. Match thread
Well I'm predicting that we will score in the 1st half today and run out with a 2-0 win.

Few changes there. Glad to see Morrison out. Not been playing well. Must be giving Colwill and Evans a rest.

I think Evans is injured based on what Morison said yesterday.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v HUDDERSFIELD. Match thread
McGuinness Flint, as the centre of defence, many older posters may remember a popular tune of 1970 by this pair.

That was just awful from McGuinness

Re: CARDIFF CITY v HUDDERSFIELD. Match thread
Nelson unlucky there.
McGuiness however
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v HUDDERSFIELD. Match thread
I’m sorry but every game mcGuiness keeps failing to find his passes

Do you mean because he was brave challenging for the ball?

In the bottom three as it stands

Re: CARDIFF CITY v HUDDERSFIELD. Match thread
for most teams knocking it about is good for possession stats, for us it just means more likelihood of a wayward pass putting the opposition in on goal

I know what you mean. Other teams knock it about looking for that opening. We knock it about - you're bracing yourself for the inevitable interception.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v HUDDERSFIELD. Match thread
Our defence scares the hell out of me!
Even the poor teams look dangerous playing on the break

certainly more intent to play properly the last couple of games but they look shot on confidence, it isn't comfortable to watch

3 or 4 precision passes and they had a ball rolling across our goalmouth with nobody challenging, that was their first attempt for a while, it's concerning

Ralls has had the 2 best chances and should really have buried the second with his swinger.
When your luck's out :frown:

I can't remember what he was guilty of tbh but I have every sympathy for him playing alongside this shower.
Last ditch tackle again, we could easily be 2 down!

Re: CARDIFF CITY v HUDDERSFIELD. Match thread
17 games, 0 first half goals. That's a truly astonishing statistic and it's also truly pathetic.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v HUDDERSFIELD. Match thread
We look like conceding every time they get the ball in our half.
