Re: CARDIFF CITY v Q.P.R. Match thread
We always seem to do well under 007 Bond
Last season
Luton home 2-1 win
Midd home 1-0 win
Charlton away 2-2
Derby home 2-1 win
This season, only a 0-0 at Blackburn

Clearly a reasonably sensible ref. Cant be much worse than last Saturday's.

Smithies
Ng
Nelson
Bennett
Bagan
Wilson
Vaulks
Ralls
Hoilett
Watters
Moore
Assuming the new boys are fit, get them straight in. Is flint available?

I don't think Watters will start and Bacuna will. 451 formation

Think he's earned himself a rest at this point personally.

I'd like to think he'll be energised back in midfield.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v Q.P.R. Match thread
Well, that side is certainly full of surprises. I guess Ralls will play left mid in a 442
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v Q.P.R. Match thread
Ng starts
Watters starts
Moore starts
Morrison starts
four changes from the defeat against Norwich
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v Q.P.R. Match thread
Certainly wasn't expecting Morrison back, really like that team. First time in a while i've been excited to see us play.

5 at the back to ensure Bacuna stays at right back

Maybe it's a diamond? With Wilson behind Watters and Moore. Would be an interesting switch up

Re: CARDIFF CITY v Q.P.R. Match thread
Disappointed that the youngster, who was better than most of his team mates in the two games he played, misses out, but Isuppose the fact that Bagan and Harris have played league football this season is progress at Cardiff City - I reckon Nelson is lucky to keep his place.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v Q.P.R. Match thread
Harsh on Bagan. Hes played well.
Interesting how we set up 433 or 4312?
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v Q.P.R. Match thread
Can't figure that one out formation wide, can only assume 4312.
Lots of Wingers on the bench.

As mentioned above, it seems a natural selection for a diamond formation.

Re: CARDIFF CITY v Q.P.R. Match thread
We need some sort of break to get some confidence. We are very much 2nd best so far and it just looks a matter of time befire QPR score.

The commentary on club tv is much better, at least.

If he puts in some good displays I’d expect him to keep the shirt, as we’ve bought him rather than a loan

Re: CARDIFF CITY v Q.P.R. Match thread
Rubbish first 30 mins chasing shadows, better side last 15.
Awful conditions to be fair.
Like the look of Ng, couple of stray passes but he looks like a right back, which is a refreshing change.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v Q.P.R. Match thread
Better as the half went on. They started better we ended it better. Level is fair.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v Q.P.R. Match thread
Half time verdict? Hmmm, okay, better than previous displays in terms of work rate and closing down but still lacking that inspirational spark. QPR are distinctly average too!

Credit where credits due I ain't been on club tv for a while but tonight it's much better few more cameras, replays and Jason Perry is a breath of fresh air.:ayatollah:

Re: CARDIFF CITY v Q.P.R. Match thread
We were well on top towards end of half. Need to put ball in back of net now.

If we are unable to get a win against QPR tonight, I think the board have to act.
They are a poor side in free fall and offer nothing.
Our style of play needs changing. We are unable to create anything from midfield

Agreed! Loving Jason Perry.

Enjoyed the highlights of Cardiff beating Swansea just now :ayatollah:

Re: CARDIFF CITY v Q.P.R. Match thread
There's no doubting City's commitment and application tonight but however well our team plays they're just no going to open up defences. We lack Championship quality midfielders - those with skill and pace who can move the ball quickly. Watching City you can see where the next couple of passes are going..

Re: CARDIFF CITY v Q.P.R. Match thread
We grew into the game and were the better team for the last 15-20 mins. We also didn’t concede early. Ng has slotted in nicely. Hopefully a good second half with a few goals.
-
Re: CARDIFF CITY v Q.P.R. Match thread
Ng’s composure has impressed me regardless of a few misplaced passes
