33 quid for Bristol city - SOLD OUT
-
Re: 33 quid for Bristol city
True. They are probably only worth a packet of Woodbines and a used Bury scarf with their debt.
-
Re: 33 quid for Bristol city
All part of their 25 year plan for promotion.

Ridiculous price, especially when you consider that Liverpool fans paid £30 at Stamford Bridge on the weekend.
Why on earth can the Premier League agree an away ticket price cap but the football league cant? Even £25, which isn't exactly cheap would be reasonable.

Just give them a tractor ! I would !{

Re: 33 quid for Bristol city
Any idea what allocation we have? The number never gets quoted in the club announcements.

Re: 33 quid for Bristol city
Any team that does this should have the favour returned plus extra
If Bristol City charge us £33 now we should set theirs to £45
£20 really is plenty. Teams will often make more money per head from the away fans as they'll often eat and drink in the ground

Re: 33 quid for Bristol city
I'm waiting on Sludge's opinion on this before I comment.
-
Re: 33 quid for Bristol city
I thought for a minute that this was news of another club being sold to a group of investors.

Should sell out pretty quickly even with the ridiculous ticket prices, is it our largest allocation of the season?

Re: 33 quid for Bristol city
It’s actually £34 :frown:

Do they think they are Leeds? £34 verges on extortion. But, it's a chance to watch us play, live. Pick n shovel.

Re: 33 quid for Bristol city
Adult - £21
Over 60 - £17
Under 22 - £11
Under 16 - £9
That’s what we charge away fans apparently
Would be nice if our club took a stand and said “these are our prices, however we’ll charge whatever you charge. Up to you if you want our original prices or our increased prices”. Make a big song and dance about it in the press and shame the other clubs into lowering their prices.

Maybe they want funds for a new statue.

That would be great, but it's not the clubs that pay for the tickets, it's the fans. So those clubs that charge extra will have no problems allowing their own fans to be charged the same ridiculous amount in return.

Our prices are generally amongst the cheapest if not the actual cheapest in the league. We charge away fans what we charge home fans. League rules oblige you to charge same prices you charge home fans in a similar area in the ground.
Bristol charge £33 to their own fans behind the opposite goal, though allow you to buy a membership and that means you can save £5 a ticket.

Re: 33 quid for Bristol city
Extortion. Should be boycotting the game and going to watch local non-league sides instead. If people keep paying it, they'll keep charging it.
-
Re: 33 quid for Bristol city
And for anyone looking to park at Bedminster CC, it's now a tenner plus £1.50 booking fee, booked in advance. To make the cost of match ticket plus parking etc worthwhile ...Aden Flint....93rd minute winner? How good would that be.

Of the blocks currently on sale, roughly 150 left.
-
Re: 33 quid for Bristol city
For the first few posts in this thread I honestly thought Lansdown was selling-up.

Ian, will there likely be more available if these go? Bristol is dead easy for me and Mrs C so hopefully we can get a couple of tickets.

Not sure. First blocks sold quickly. More put on sale (two side blocks). Worth having a look online as soon as you are eligible to buy.
-
Re: 33 quid for Bristol city
Surely the solution is to charge their fans 33GBP. Take 12GBP out of every take sold to a Bristol fan and use it to subsidize City fans going to Trashton Gate effectively making it 21GBP for them.
It's a form of football income redistribution.

I'm not surprised. Especially as it's close and with Covid restrictions in Wales. Appreciate all the updates you supply re. tickets in general. Cheers again.

88 available just now. Looks like a final chunk of the block on the RHS nearest the home fans has been opened up for sale, today.

Hoping to get two tickets on Friday morning. Not sure if they’ll be available still by then

Re: 33 quid for Bristol city
I’m surprised we’ve got 2400 fans that have been to 4+ away games. Considering our biggest support this season has been ~1700 and the average around 1200.

So members with 2 aways and ST with 1 aways get lumped into general sale? Seems a bit unfair no?
