Re: Wales v Trinidad & Tobago
I don't see the logic in play such an inexperienced team to be honest, wouldn't it have been sensible to try and get a bit up to speed before Sunday?

Imagine the outcry if Bale/Ramsey/Allen/Brooks/Davies got injured in a friendly against Trinidad
-
Re: Wales v Trinidad & Tobago
Take 0 shame in having to google four of the starting to players to see who they were.

I'm not suggesting he play the full team, just this seems a bit too out there. He's had 9 games to put crazy teams on the pitch to experiment, even though it's a friendly this is now the business end. If he's going to experiment he should have started Dan James at the very least

Is Vaulks pronounced the same as Vokes?

Re: Wales v Trinidad & Tobago
Is this one of the worst games I’ve seen in last 10 years? Certainly up there
-
Re: Wales v Trinidad & Tobago
Playing a striker (Roberts) wide right with two midgets (Thomas & Woodburn) through the middle. Can't fathom that out.
-
Re: Wales v Trinidad & Tobago
this is deffo very poor, waste of electricity
-
Re: Wales v Trinidad & Tobago
I hope the crowd got in for free, this is so dire.
-
Re: Wales v Trinidad & Tobago
Woodburn has a few good touches and crosses this half. Like Edwards commentating said, Bale or Vokes attaching them could be interesting.
-
Re: Wales v Trinidad & Tobago
I'm loving this tactic of high balls and crosses for our diddymen to win.
-
Re: Wales v Trinidad & Tobago
Takes me back to the days when we were W@nk :hehe:

I thought that about our preparations for Euro 2016, but our lack of match time as a team before the tournament hardly affected us!!
-
Re: Wales v Trinidad & Tobago
I will take the same result on Sunday against Slovakia.

Re: Wales v Trinidad & Tobago
On a positive note, I thought Hedges was lively and Vaulks was good throughout. Seemed appropriate that it was his cross for the winner.

I agree with those two. Impressed with Vaulks loved his celebration when the winner went in.

Hedges had a good game. The FAW are hoping to discover whether Burnley youngster Josh Benson has a Welsh grandparent as they'd make a good partnership.

:hehe: Aye, go on then. For the newbies on here.
The world expert on European wasps and the sounds that they make is taking a stroll down his local high street.
As he passes by the record shop, a sign catches his eye. "Just Released: New LP - Wasps of the World & the sounds that they make - available now!"
Unable to resist the temptation, the man goes into the shop. "I am the world expert on European wasps and the sounds that they make. I'd very much like to listen to the new LP you have advertised in the window."
"Certainly, Sir," says the young man behind the counter. "If you'd like to step into the booth and put on the headphones, I'll put the LP on for you."
The world expert on European wasps goes into the booth and puts on the earphones.
Ten minutes later, he comes out of the booth and announces, "I am the world expert on European wasps and the sounds that they make and yet I recognised none of those."
"I'm sorry sir," says the young assistant. "If you'd care to step into the booth, I can let you have another 10 minutes."
The world expert on European wasps and the sounds that they make steps back into the booth and replaces the headphones.
Ten minutes later, he comes out of the booth shaking his head. "I don't understand it," he says, "I am the world expert on European wasps and the sounds that they make, and yet I still can't recognise any of those!"
"I'm terribly sorry, sir" says the young man, "perhaps if you'd like to step into the booth again, you could have 5 more minutes."
Sighing, the world expert on European wasps and the sounds that they make steps back into the booth.
Five minutes later, he comes out again, clearly agitated. "I am the world expert on European wasps and the sounds that they make and yet I have recognised none of the wasps on this LP."
"I really am terribly sorry," says the young assistant. "I've just realised I was playing you the bee side."

Ah! I miss the old days of banter, NP & spider threads
-
Re: Wales v Trinidad & Tobago
Poor display overall but Vaulks definitely looks like a good addition. Woodburn brighter second half and deserved a goal after about 11 attempts in the game.

Bloke goes into a cake shop and asks for a wasp
"We don't sell wasps"
"But you've got one in the window!"

Re: Wales v Trinidad & Tobago
T&T were organised and defensive and we missed the experience and nous of getting beyond that (even though there have been times when our best XI have struggled to break teams down). Finishing also a bit ropey. Hopefully a good experience and lesson for what was technically a championship/league 1 team.

I thought Vaulks a had a good game, but I'm still on the fence with Hedges.

So that means we can expect two or three years of you endlessly advocating his cause then :hehe:.

ha-ha.
That's meant to be a joke, but I may have to ditch it.

Re: Wales v Trinidad & Tobago
Not sure I can remember a time where I've watched a Wales team and could realistically name close to 11 better replacements for each position (sadly still no striker though!). Feel a bit sorry for the paying fans but that's progress in my book.

Re: Wales v Trinidad & Tobago
Vaulks looked good
We're interested in him apparently
